Reading an article about a new erotic film I wondered if you watch films which ones peeps here like to watch to get juices flowing, is it really just regular porn (and nothing wrong with that) or are there mainstream films people find a turn on too? Another "Sound is better than visual" fan here Got to admit I love the odd uniform or two.... *but* not the tacky "Ann Summers" kind, that just kills the vibe ;) Im not a fan of the "extreme" stuff (bukake, skat, DP into various holes etc) as I end up being turned off and just thinking "They cant be enjoying that!" We (well, cough, I) have searched for the elusive "couple friendly" erotica/porn but only succeeded in finding a mish-mash of offerings, and the regular porn, well, the backers are possibly happy with it but it can come over ('scuse the pun) as mechanical? So how about Shortbus? Boogie Nights? More along the porn line (arriving shortly at Kings Cross platform 69 3/4), the director Anna Span (apparently an x Lib Dem candidate for Gravesham - wow - flesh pot of the East!) made a few allegedly from a woman's point of view. The secretary worked for me on many levels, always enjoy watching it. Generally though, if I'm just watching something for my own gratification, I'll prefer to watch a girl who's really turned on by the slaps her bum's receiving, so not someone who wishes to be tortured, but a girl who is really getting hornier with each slap.... and of course if she's a black girl then she's ticking all my boxes.
I rarely like 'porn' films. I like well produced actual sex with real people not swollen mouthed, fake-everything, orange-tanned bimbos pouting all over the place. I also like erotic 'actual' films such as Dirty Dancing, Ghost and Game of Thrones - plenty there. What I really like is well written erotic fiction. THAT really gets me warm around the ears. I've had a go myself and really enjoyed writing it - to the point of having to have a lie down once or twice during the process. :giggle:

Not odd at all, I (Mr M) get the same feeling. Something very special about hearing people enjoying themselves, especially when close to you. Many underestimate the power of sound, possibly because visuals are easier to describe and therefore share.

We like porn a lot. A lot. Lol In fact it was watching porn and discussing with each other the things that we liked that led us down the road where we decided to experiment with swinging, to see if we enjoyed doing those things as much as watching them and fantasising. We tend to prefer porn films which are attempts at movies, rather than the other way round or sex films without plot. A few of our favourites are by Wicked pictures, notably Roommates and Manhunters (although that is a little long, even for our purposes, lol) It's generally nice to have some context for sex, as far as we're concerned, otherwise its harder to get turned on by it. There are plenty of non-porn things which have got us hot in the past though. H seems to like almost anything starring Andrew Lincoln or Jason Statham. I maintain that one of the sexiest scenes ever to be broadcast was Scully getting a tattoo in the X-Files. ;)
We watched this together the other night as we hadn't seen it ages and caught it when it was on. Strange how when we first saw it (10+ years ago) we could of never imagined going to a masquerade party, now being part of something like that in the party sense is of great appeal. Guess there's a strong link to films watched and the potential for ideas to be forged and acted out in later years as relationships/tastes grow. There seems to be a severe lack of erotic films, or perhaps there are many and its the exposure and cost of marketing which is to blame (understandable). Then again who's to say that porn isn't erotic art, which itself would be down to personal taste and interpretation of porn/erotic film.
erotic films dont really do it for me. but one film. the machinist. had me going back to watch it again as the ending just stopped me in my tracks. it was only watching the film again that everything fell into place. and i still left the cinema in silence as did the other people around me.

There are clues throughout the film about the orgy at Somerton mansion, its the drip feed approach and anticipation that adds that extra layer. The sort of excitement you get before a date/meeting. As much as its nice to see flesh, sometimes its what can't be seen that adds to the thrill, whether it be film, art or pornography.
"Factory porn" leaves us cold, it is just so contrived and mechanical. We love home made stuff, no matter if the lighting is poor, the action often obscured and zero plot. So what? It is the real thing! Our first exposure was shotly after we were married, we got a video cam as one of the wedding presents, no cheap thing in those days! Another couple we got to know through work asked if they could borrow it to film a christening of their nephew. Was just going to say we're different in so far we like the home made stuff rather than formal films, then we saw Zanussi's post! So we're similar in that respect. Although we've not been lucky(?) enough to watch our neighbours own attempts we do like the really basic home made clips on the web. Something very honest about a normal couple having sex in some form and of course there's every type of porn to fit our every changing mood and fantasy - a bit of bi, voyeurism, outdoor etc etc. All good.
