So what is the best time of the year for you?
Is it the summer months where the sun is out, and everything seems to feel good with the world or..... is it the winter months where it is crisp and frosty. When snow falls and it looks so nice with everything white.
Or is it the spring when the flowers start to come up and the weather is getting warmer or.... the Autumn when the sun still shines but is not so warm, the leaves falling from the trees?
I love the summer months because I love to get up with the sun shining on a day that is going to be warm. I also like the Autumn months when it gets foggy of a night. It is so still and quite when the fog is out like nobody else is around just yourself.
So what is the best time of the year for others, and why?
Oh winter
I love the frosts and the cold, my favourite has to be going to the beach for a walk knowing most people are sat at home being nice and warm, and seeing people putting their decorations up one by one round the street, dark nights and lots of rain.
Seeing the snow fall :inlove: and having lovely stodgy dinners :lol2:
Love Spring - The season of new life and a time of promise and optimism as the earth and its animals reproduce, grow and come to life. The time to say farewell to the gloom of winter and many months of light and life ahead to look forward to.
Hate Autumn equinox when the clocks go back. Nothing to look forward to other than dark days and nights, limited light and the months of death and decay as the natural world dies away for months on end
Yes that does sum up the spring months.
Once the clocks go forward and lighter evenings, you know that summer is on it's way and I can get my bike out and dust off the cobwebs. lol
If you;d have asked me this morning when there was snow on the ground I'd have :bounce: and said winter! Love snow, love sledding, snowball fights, snow angels, watching the confused dog in the garden LOL.
However, it melted PAH!!! and now it's just wet and cold!
So at the moment it's summer, with walks along the canal, beer by the river, the smell of coconut suntan lotion, caravan holidays (I know but it makes me feel like a kid), sex outside without freezing nipples!
:giggle:
Sex outside is VERY naughty. lol
Both me and mrs777 do not like the cold at all. Luckily enough we have had hardly any snow down here for ages now.
But I remember a particulat winter years ago when my kids were very young and it snowed like crazy. We went to our local park with our dog at the time, we had a brill time...even though I could not feel my hands for two days.
The end of summer for me. When the heat ( rolleyes ) isn't too strong yet the nippiness of autumn hasn't arrived yet.
Just perfect for walking the pooch, which basically my only outdoor activity anyway.
The rest of the time I'm indoors staring at a computer screen anyway so what's outside the window makes no difference other than deciding to turn on the heating or the lights.

My bloody neighbours fitted a racking great floodlight this year so no garden sex anymore sad :( :(
I want snow snow snow and I'm going to bloody well stamp my feet* at the lack of it here!
*It won't make the blindest bit of difference but the kids though it funny
I love winter, more women wear leather, be it boots, gloves, coats etc.

I just bought nearly a whole cow- boots, jacket n gloves! mmmmm leather gloves......
Winter for me, I love Christmas , it's my birthday very soon, it's party time!
Whilst I love the sun, I'm still waiting for summer to arrive this year, it's totally bypassed Scotland, so I've given up hoping for it. Might as well just jet off somewhere for my 2 weeks of sun.
At least winter is slightly more predictable....
That said, I went to Bulgaria on a ski holiday 2 Januarys ago- its was feckin 21 celcius- it's normally minus 21! No snow!

My inbox awaits you my lovely
Hmmm - thinking.
I enjoy summer when you don't have to wear a coat (although not having any pockets to put keys/phone in can be annoying.
I love winter when the frost is hard and I can hear the garden bugs dying in droves biggrin:D:D:D:D or if we even get snow that you can actually do something with. But these days are very rare.
Autumn, when I'm jamming and pickling and chutneying is incredibly satisfying.
But I would have to say that Spring is my favourite time. When you've had weeks of dull, wet and cold when it never seems to actually get light and you have a day when the sun comes out and you suddenly notice the daffy leaves are emerging from the litter of leaves, and the early shrubs are budding towards the light. A time full of hope, promise and the smell of things growing and birds getting frisky.
I just love the changes in the seasons so every time is good.
I just love the way the rain of the Summer turns to the rain of the Autumn, which.......
.
Sorry that was a weather answer to a more general question wasn't it?
I know it's naff but I really like Christmas. It's only time the whole family get together fer a reasonable length of time and boy do we have a blast!!
