Since meeting fembernie and subsequently proposing, one of the things that We have found out is that for bernie my snoring is unbearable.
Well yesterday I went under the surgeons knife for a septoplasty to improve the airflow through my nasal passages.
As I write this I am feeling very bruised but thankfully painfree due to pills.
Hopefully the result of this is that my snoring is reduced to enable Bernie to get a good nights sleep without interruption, and we get to spend a harmonious life together.
What lengths would you go to for the love of a good woman?

I reckon if you have a mo, can we exchange PM's.
I wake people in the next village when I sleep.
Certainly I am seriously considering this as I really can't remember the last time I awoke in the same bed as the woman I was with, either I had to move or she did.
And I do love a cuddle when I wake ...........
Bassman that is so sweet passionkiss
I had this problem with Mr Jay Bassman, I bought myself some earplugs and I don't hear him at all now!.. mind you I sometimes don't hear my alarm either but at least I'm sleeping! :giggle:
Apparently tho, my snoring keeps HIM awake sometimes as my sinus' are shot to hell from years of smoking and subsquent giving up has not helped them... so any advice on here I WOULD welcome to read also. wink
i suffer with blocked sinuses quite a bit and horny treated me to some plastic strips to stick across my nose at night.
they are brill. not only does he get a good nights sleep but i do too. i hadnt realised that i was having as much disturbed sleep as him. i wasnt aware of my snoring - it didn t wake me up.
after using thse for about a week i feel much less tired with lots more energy.

Ask the chemist for Flixonase - it's a nasal spray which is great for blocked sinuses. It comes in an orange packet, if it works as your doctor for it (green packet) as you get double the contents. My doctor prescribes two bottles for me each time which is fab.
As I get sinusitis from a variety of foods and swimming pool fumes this was the only thing to keep me symptom free. I only get colds now (and thus sinusitis) if I neglect to inhale Flixonase though I don't take it daily anymore.
Snoring.... mmmmmmmmm not the best person to ask! redface
r swin is awaiting a sleep-trial to see if he (like most of his male relatives - so i'm told) has sleep apnoea.
his snoring can be unbearable too lol. it has been suggested that the same or a similar operation may improve his nightime breathing and snoring. so i will wait with baited breath to get a good account of your recovery!

Happy to chat anytime mate, but won't know the results of the surgery until the swelling has gone down.
Have been told that if my snoring doesn't improve then the next stage would be for a sleep study to be done. I'll keep you posted.
Mr W used to snore like a pig. He lost loads weight- and one night, stopped snoring. As if by magic!
I lost loadsa weight-and started snoring! lol redface
However, my snoring pales into insignificance next to RPM'S! :giggle:

I think you are brilliant doing what you are doing and I hope the swelling goes down soon. Martell doesnt snore but putting up with me is enough - he doesnt need to do anything else lol. Fingers crossed that the operation was worth it!!!!!!!!!!!

I suffered severe sleep apnoea for many years in all my mrs reckons about 12yrs. I ended up with a machine which was horrendous to get used to. One of the most underated of problems I believe. Apnoea is insideous it invades your life and others around you (a DVLA notifiable problem!!!!!!!) snoring is possibly the most noticeable of the effects of Apnoea but possibly the least worrying.
I ended up having an emergency trachyostemy through a different problem but i believe that this resulted in the loss of the Apnoea. though my Dr believes its probably the 12 stone weight loss that has done this (ok she is probably right and she's cute and boy i'd like to see her n the mrs .... you know (mm mm mmmmm i wish) hey if its Anoea then something can be done about it guys, A good nights sleep is a blessed thing and you will of been missing out. The revelation when you have fitful sleep back is unquantifiable good luck!!
