A good thread is one that does not produce 30 post all saying I agree, I agree.
or one that is just a load of fun, funny, or just mad!
Politeness helps.
Realising that though its a forum on a sex site its great to be able to have discussions on most topics
Being non-exclusive is a good thing though very difficult to achieve by some.
Oh did i mention being nice forgiving patient. thats always good.
Lots of things I guess.
Realising that what one person might find of no interest, another does.
What you might know another might not, so don't get angry if you think its simple or not worthwhile.
Lots of other stuff
It really is nice to be nice.
Without my Mod hat on:
Bad threads: Ones which are designed merely to provoke or offend. There have been too many recently (IMO) which are polarising the Cafe regulars and showing a great deal of intolerance for the views and opinions of others. Oh, and then there are the ones which almost 'demand' our attention cos the content is 'important' and prove to be nothing of the kind. Oh, and the ones which have a title of something along the lines of 'I need help' or 'help me' and turn out to be a very thinly disguised 'fancy a shag' thread.
Good threads: Ones which are enquiring, sharing or inclusive. Where the tone is not at all threatening or radical. Sometimes light hearted ones work well and sometimes more heavy topics pan out really well. Just depends I suppose!
With my Mod hat on:
Bad threads: Abusive, nasty, personal attacks on those who post, the 'I agree' type, those which turn into 'love shacks'/two or three people having a conversation and exclude everyone else. Some hijackings come into this as well.
Good threads: None of the above!
Depends on my mood I think.
Sometimes I am in the mood for 'debate' style threads but then sometimes they get me down.
I love naughty/smutty threads!
Oh and the random, pointless, odd, silly, funny ones!! They can really make me smile.
I must admit that I usually look at the name of the poster and sometimes that puts me off, as I think you tend to build up a picture of what 'type' of posts a person makes... but then I still read them, and am often surprised, so I give myself a little talking to for having preconceptions!
Nola xx
Dearest members,
Without being vain I would say that any thread done by myself is a good example of creating threads.
A blueprint if you like.
From,

.. lol.. seriously.. I like threads where someone asks about something and learns from others , or where the caring sharing aide of the community is to the fore, or where its just plain funny.I'm not so keen on gripes or bitching or 'blame' threads.
