i have a samsung god knows what sort, it was from sainsbury and it does everything i need i can make texts and calls what else do u need
Nokia 6220 classic.
It has everything the N95 has (except wifi) and is smaller. And it was free on a £20/mth plan with 600 mins and 100 texts.
Just upgraded to the Nokia 5800 and its amazing.
Love the touch screen which comes with a stylus for those like my hubby with very big hands - oh err missus.
But seriously its great, I love it and Im not usually impressed by gadgets.
Its got GPS too so comes in handy when your off to those remote meetings and find yourself in the middle of no where. Now you will now where you are even if you dont know where the others are cos its not that clever.
But you can always send them an email using the phone if you dont have their mobile number, but chances are they wont be home if your not!
Anyway, I love it and am still getting used to it.
Oh forgot to say, useful for when your lying in bed and cant sleep. Just log into your wireless network and you can look at some naughty porn...a good all round pleasure phone and thats with the vibrate option switched off.
Can highly recommend it.
I have an HTC TyTn II
It has Tomtom 7 satnav, uses windows mobile so integrates with my laptop well and is wifi.
Its a bit chunky but its touchscreen and has a full slide out qwerty keyboard. I've had it over 18 months and its still available on contract under its various guises, mine is badged Vodafone v1615 but other networks have there own names for it.
I am just putting my oar in to let you know how disapointed I am with LG renoir.
the camera is good.
but the rest of it is not that good, fiddly to work it. web browser not so good as the nokia.
ring tone and ear speaker are too quiet.
which ever phone you buy make sure all the functions you see discussed in web reviews exist in the phone you are been contracted to look after for 18 months exist.
the GPS on renoir is a pay per use scam. ( on orange)
My jill phone is a 10 year old nokia and I can rely on it.
I used to have a Sony Ericsson K850i, but after having several SE models before it, I was really disappointed.
As I'm an Apple engineer, with an Apple MacBook, I decided to go for an iPhone. It was a bit like having to redefine how you use a mobile phone. You can't forward texts, you can't send picture messages, and the battery life if you use it to it's full capabilities throughout the day is very poor. Also my Fiat 500 used to read out my text messages when I had a Sony Ericsson, but can't with the iPhone.
That said I get my e-mails on there, my diary which syncs with my MacBook in both directions via MobileMe, got Facebook on there, loads of games to keep me and my daughter amused, got most of my tunes, photos and movies via its iPod capabilities, can browse the web in a proper browser, the texts are displayed as if you're having a conversation, the keyboard is very good, has an OK camera, has GPS so I can see where I am if I'm lost and tags my photos to show where they were taken, has MSN chat apps, and is continually improved via regular software updates.
You should really think of it as a mini computer with phone capabilities. Yes there are some short-comings, but the pros outweigh the cons.
just got a G1, (also called the HTC Dream I think)...
Its great.... does everything and the net is really quick on it...
I also have a nokia e71 which is good for email.
S'allright
I wasn't too keen on it, so the other half just upgraded to a found one for me :bounce:
It was in the first place he looked- it makes me suspicious.
