I have just chatted to someone on the phone for the first time after chatting online for a while. Unfortunately, they sound nothing like I imagined them to. This has kinda put me off meeting them...
Is that silly? Can a voice be a turn-off?
Have you been in a similar situation with a potential meet only to be turned off by something?
Nola x

There have been lots of times when I've met people (guys and gals) who look seriously hot and then they open their mouths and you wish they hadnt! Guess it all depends on what you're after - if you want someone to have a conversation with and you cant stand their voice you probably wont get far... if you want them for other things then maybe you can persuade them not to be too talkative! :gagged: :giggle:
Seriously though, buckets of personality and charm can usually make up for someones less attractive traits so persevere!

what i cant stand is when they are all nice and normal in the chat room and on msn and as soon as they speak to you on the phone their first words are

Thing is though, am not looking for any kind of long term 'thing' with this person. If I was, I would probably see the benefit of persevering and understand that personality is key etc etc. I am really only looking for a one off, or very infrequent, type of meet. So for me, that means that the chemistry has got to be spot on - and, alas, the voice thing is just not doing it for me... I have been irreparably put off.
