I once made the mistake of allowing someone off here to view my i-pod. I won't be doing it again.
I consider my music taste eclectic and I feel that it's diversity is not fully appreciated. rolleyes
So, in answer to the original question. I have nothing to be ashamed of. :P

I have a whole bunch of records in my loft, some I aquired from my Dad when I was a kid... got a real variety, from the beatles/elvis/Cilla/Val etc to Two little Boys by Rolf. Think I have *jump up and down with your knickers in the air* as well lol Who sang that stupid song? Oh, I also have Motorbike Riding (??) Other side is Magic Roundabout... was it Jasper Carrot?

Funky Moped by Jasper Carrott what a blast from the past i remember my brother having that on 7in vinyl and still remember most of the words due to the amount of times i played it.

A Windmill In Old Amsterdam
A mouse lived in a windmill in old Amsterdam
A windmill with a mouse in and he wasn't grousin'
He sang every morning, "How lucky I am,
Living in a windmill in old Amsterdam!"
Chorus:
I saw a mouse!
Where?
There on the stair!
Where on the stair?
Right there!
A little mouse with clogs on
Well I declare!
Going clip-clippety-clop on the stair
Oh yeah
This mouse he got lonesome, he took him a wife
A windmill with mice in, it's hardly surprisin'
She sang every morning, "How lucky I am,
Living in a windmill in old Amsterdam!"
Chorus
First they had triplets and then they had quins
A windmill with quins in, and triplets and twins in
They sang every morning, "How lucky we are
Living in a windmill in Amsterdam, ya!"
Chorus
The daughters got married and so did the sons
The windmill had christ'nin's when no one was list'nin'
They all sang in chorus, "How lucky we am
Living in a windmill in old Amsterdam!"
Chorus
A mouse lived in a windmill, so snug and so nice
There's nobody there now but a whole lot of mice.
Edited to add....embarrasing it may be....but its a great song!!!! redface surprisedops:
Agh...can't get it out of my head... mad evil

A Windmill In Old Amsterdam

I loved that song when I was a kid and knew all the words lol
Originally recorded by Ronnie Hilton and it hit the charts in 1965
Whos he?
Ronnie Hilton was a UK singer who came to fame in the 50's. His real name was Adrian Hill and he was born in Hull, UK. on 26th January 1926. He was a singer song writer and wrote many anthems for Leeds United Football Club. He performed on 3 Royal Variety Performances and also DJ'd on radio. He sadly died February 21 2001 at the age of 75.
Havent a clue who the scottish family was confused
My mum used to teach me to sing that!!!! Wow.. brings back some nice memories...

It's embarrassing that I remember this, but didn't the Smurf's do a version too?

At least that was her school play, I think I did this at ballet class... but I seem to remember making my family watch me sing and dance along to this on our stairs ad nauseum redface They all had to sing along with the "there on the stair" bit - and there I would be, doing my lil routine on the stairs whilst they had to stand and suffer in the hall.... oh dear!! lol
