My then husband's head swivelled on his shoulder to look at me in amazement at my words and accent...

But did his head swivel 360 degress like in the Exorcist .... nah THAT'S freaky!!!

looks like it has the same affect on meaty as well. :scared:

It's from the film 'Legend' - the devil is red in the film but this is Tim Curry during make-up, it took four hours to apply all the base foundoution - the black stuff - to get that final red layer to look like it was real skin - and then they added the horns ..... wow .... I 'd love to go to a fancy dress party dressed like ............................

I have read somewhere that some of our fears may be due to past life experiences. In a book Cathars and Reincarnations a young womans fears were put down to her past life experiences in medieval France
i think we pick a lot of our fears up from our parents... that and some extremely dodgy tv we were allowed to watch in the 70's before people even thought about the consequences of it.

 Look under your pillow equi....... just before you turn the light off to go to sleep.... that's when they like to snuggle up nice n close like....
My dad once woke up to hear a strange tapping noise on his pillow, then a house spider crawled over his face. He likes them though, so he was ok with it. If it had been me, I think I may have screamed the house down and had a very childish accident in my pants
Yes, I admit, for a bloke, I am a complete wuss........... redface
When just a sea sprog, I tipped over a small dingy and it landed on my head upside down confused . I had a rope cought round my leg and could only bob up for air in the air space left by the upturned boat  . I could hear the coastguard boat coming and luckly got out OK by myself. But now I can´t look out over water on my own, freaks me right out. But im OK with a jacuzzi in a club somewhere biggrin .

this post has just caused me to go a bit nostalgic....wierd....let me explain...
many years ago my mum was terrified of mice and my ad ha been out in the early hours wildfowling (shooting things)
he had returned and my dad and I had just cleaned his shotguns......just then a mouse appeared from under the gas fire.....my dad took off his slipper and felled it with 1 shot....
we took a photo of my dad as the great white hunter...wearing camouflage gear...waders...shotgun over each shoulder whilst standing with 1 fot over the mouse...
suppose you had to have been there lol
anyway just dug the pic out...think ill take it up to his house lol
Mmmm confused I wouldn't say I'm fearless (that's a dangerous thing to be in my profession) but not much scares me!
Heights: This is weird.... I can sit in a plane and look down 30,000 ft no problem... I can sit in a helicopter with a plexiglass floor 2,000 ft up (I've had some lessons) and watch the ground passing by, not a problem... but I do sometimes get wobbly knees if I stand close to the edge of a cliff or a high building... it's not that I'm scared, and I can continue standing there... I think it's my sub-conscious self preservation system reminding me that rapid deceleration at the bottom will probably hurt... or worse, probably not! lol
I get paid for scaring people sometimes... I've been a racing driver for nearly 30 years and also work teaching racing on most of the UK circuits... on corporate and public experience days I sometimes give fast rides... the effect on the passenger can vary from a massive thrill to being scared out of their wits... one girl told me she was scared but extremely thrilled, to the point that it caused her to orgasm... she wasn't lying either... she showed me proof! biggrin
Actually racing isn't scary, you become aclimatised to the speed... 200 mph + feels no faster to me than 70mph on the motorway to most people. But it is exhilerating. Instructing on track is prabably the worst. When you have a complete brain dead 'Billy' driving you in a very fash car and he/she appears to be doing their utmost to kill you, and you have little control over it... that keeps you awake!
Spiders are no problem... got a big one living in our house, he / she comes out late at night and is so big, you can hear the steps it takes across the carpet, and if it stands on the remote the TV turns over! (Do you know there are at least 10,000,000 spiders in every back garden?) Got a snake... he's 4' long... snakes are not a problem. Ghosts and spooky stuff fascinate me... they don't scare me!
 I know what's scary! Go outside tonight and if there is a clear sky, look up at all the Miliions of stars and Galaxies.... just imagine if there's nobody there! There's only us! Now that would be scary! neutral
The thought of my family & friends fiding out im bi & a swinger scares me most

Ha...... Ha....... Ha.......... lol
At last i can, once more, move around safely in my own home without fear !!!!!!
Its dead!!!!!!!!!!!
It is an ex-spider!!!!!!!!
It has ceased to be!!!!!!!!!
Got him with a two-pronged attack last night........... he came walking out from underneath the sofa...... and he was only about 1m away from the telephone directory and I...... !!!!!!
I dropped the directory straight on top of him and then jumped up and down on the directory to make sure the little b*****d was well and truly dead..... i haven't been able to lift the phone book to check yet.... but i'm fairly confident that the arachnid world numbers have just dropped by 1......lol
Celebrated with a large glass of red wine............ lol

Don't worry about the spiders equi, they'll keep the flies down in your house!
I'd worry more about the flies. Nasty habits THEY have, like landing on food, eating a bit, vomiting it back up and then stamping and treading in it to share it around.
So you see, the spiders are really just trying to help you with the housework!
Now show some gratitude will ya? smackbottom :smackbottom:
