Ooooops :gagged:
I can recommend some bathroom refitters Lost .. ours was just finished this week. It only needs painting now (ooops maybe I shouldn't have mentioned that)
However it does turn into a bit of a nightmare. How long CAN you go without a toilet anyway? rolleyes Smell levels got a bit high here too without washing facilities for days in a row. But is it worth it? ... will let you know when I've forgotten the nightmares. Oh and don't forget having new windows fitted at the same time. Great for forcing a total spring clean of the entire house from ceiling to floor, but the carpet will never be the same again.

Are you suggesting that the plumbers left you with out a toilet at times?
When we do a standard bathroom refit floor and wall tiling we do it in six days, and if you have only one toilet we would make sure it was usable EVERY day and that you have hot water EVERY day.
I had a very constructive few DIY days after our short break - one of the reasons for not posting. (Juding by my 'viewed' list I think some folk thought I was banned! lol)
Spent far more than I planned to - who thought something as small as a cistern handle could be so expensive.
Anyway I am rather pleased with my retiling job, but the biggest mare was changing the taps on the bath and sink.
Mrs Kiss kindly did the painting/glossing and food/drink making.
I was totally knackered and my legs and arms ache but the bathroom looks bloody amazing, even if I do say so myself!!
Thats my next job on the list Kiss!!!!!
I hate DIY and unfortunatly we still have 2 bedrooms the kitchen, bathroom and gardens to do sad . Just cant get motivated to do it.

Hey wineman,
The refit took 2 weeks cos we had a shower unit built with stud wall etc and shorter length bath as its a very small room . First day they took the toilet cistern off and the handbasin but we still had the bath .. altho shower was gone as they had gutted it .. taken down all tiles etc .. but could bucket water from the bath to flush toilet. Then a few days later they took away the bath ... no water at all then so had to bucket water from the kitchen for the toilet ... I call that no toilet personally. With 2 workmen constantly there in a very confined space it was bloody awkward asking to use the loo ... and even if u did it was so filthy and filled with dust dirt and plaster it was impossible really. This is NOT an experience I would repeat. Next time I would go away somewhere for 2 weeks
Don't talk to me about DIY, since we found this place the subjects on our "To Do" list have somewhat changed! Too much sex, not enough DIY! lol

Well you could take my mind off my DIY 'yet to do' list if you like.

We are not actually allowed under water regs and health and safety to leave you without a working toilet, what they did was wrong.
