Perhaps shutting the curtains might have been a better way to go about it..............
Especially in front of an entrance to a childrens playgroup.

Sorry, another Victorian here too redface
Perhaps it didn`t need to go as far as court though.

My sense of adventure is alive and kicking thanks for asking....
I myself would find it hard to tolerate if my children had to pass by a scene such as that to go to school/playgroup...
In front of would also be opposite if viewed from the school/playgroup in question smile
Oh, I have a sense of adventure, I`m just responsible with it!
As for the rest, I don`t debate presumptions wink
In fact, I shouldn`t be debating at all, I should be going to bed..

Apologies if cutting and pasting from news websites is not allowed, but this appeared in the Sun today:

GOBSMACKED mums on the school run complained to police after they saw a couple bonking in their front room - directly opposite a kids' playgroup.
The married couple, aged in their 40s, appeared in court today on charges of outraging public decency.
Prosecutor Julie Facer said: "They were seen on the day in question to be performing a sexual act within the privacy of their own home.
"It was in the full public view of their window, causing outrage to those who were taking children to a playgroup opposite the house, who were able to see what was taking place in that window."

I mean FFS, could people not have just walked past and ignored it? What the hell is indecent about a married couple having sex in their own home? Don't you just get sick of the Victorian attitudes that still prevail in this country??? Grrrr!!!!
I'm kinda stunned here. If I do not what to subject my children observing strangers having sex, am I a victorian or just a protective parent?
I agree with everyone who's idea of being spontaneous and yet being responsible is the way to be. I will do what ever I want in my own home, but I am certainly not going to offend my children or anyone elses for that matter while doing it.
What's the betting that the person who complained wasn't getting any at all at home. lol
Why should anyone be shocked?
If any of the kids saw it, then it was just a practical demonstration to illustrate what they have been taught in 'Sex Lessons' at school anyway. If they were mere kiddies they wouldn't understand what they saw anyway.

The truth was most probably less interesting than the Sun made out. Otherwise, it would not have made good "newscopy".
Most probably, a school govenor was complained to, who also happens to be a magistrate. I know at least two aquaintances that fall into that category.
Although, I would have drawn the curtains anyway...
Does seem a bit confrontational near a school.
I can remember, when I was a lad, my old man complaining about a young couple who lived opposite having rampant sessions in full view of him. Mother said she'd never seen anything to which he replied, " Well you have to stand on top of the wardrobe to see !"
J
So were they standing/bending right in front of the window or did people have to be looking into their front room to see what they were doing anyway?
Just wondered.

That's fine but would you have actually gone to the length of calling the police and having them taken to court?
When it comes down to my children, I would consider it an option, if consideration actually came into the picture. Anyone who knows me can appreciate just how emotional I am when it comes to my cherubs.
Most likely the couple in question wouldn't let it happen again or purchase a set of net curtains after I was through with them.
if a couple had been warned that they were exposing themselves to children and contiuned to do so, then I think the only other option would be to involve the police.

Precisely, it was a kids' playgroup, i.e. under school age - they wouldn't have even known what was going on - only the parents would have been shocked by it, not the kids. I should have thought if the couple had realised they had such an audience, they'd have been embarrassed enough without having to be taken to court.
I think a dangerous conception is to assume that children aren't perceptive or indeed aware of what is going on around them.
Just for a change people are passing comment here without knowing all of the facts, or do you all know the facts and I am passing comment on you without having gotten* all of the facts?
These people that had viewed this act, did they have to stand on a box to get the viewing angle right? The people engaged in the act, did they have net curtains up? Did they do this every morning at the same time whilst peering out of the window flicking vees to passers by? Were they shagging against the window so there was no missing it from the street?
My own view generally is that I wdo what I like in my own house and garden so long as it does not impinge on others not on my property, I like to be naked in the back garden, but ould not do so in my current house as the person at the back sat in her conservatory enjoying a cup of tea could not fail to notice, but if I was only overlooked from a place where someone would not normally be for more than a few seconds then I would do it if the fancy took me, e.g. if I a neighbour could see hat I was doing by standing at their bedroom window then I would still do it as one ould normally not stand gazing out of ones window for hours.

I agree exactly. How I took the news story was to think that the couple in question were blatently exhibiting themselves, not respecting who could see inside and thats how I responded. Perhaps somewhat emotional, but imagining the scenerio, i couldnt respond any other way.

Just what I said earlier, the media most probably spiced it up to make good "copy".
