I've lost count how many cars I've had over the last *cough* years but my 1st one was a lada Estate ( I kid you not rolleyes ) It was an ex taxi, I was forever getting flagged down ( and no Officer I did not pick up that little old lady laden with her shopping ) and it had go-faster stripes on too. I hasten to add, the stripes didn't work confused
Other cars have included various Fords from Grenadas to Escorts, a Peugeot 605 :inlove: and an XJ6 ( my baby  ) I also still have the front numberplate from my Orion that was nicked and burnt out as it was the only salvagable thing left :?I was the proud owner of a few Dagenham Dustbins in my time

I can go one better (or worse) than a Lada Estate. My first one was the pride of East Germany - an orange Wartburg.
My first car was a mark 1 Escourt, it had been done up by the previous owner & had alloys & twin choke webber & lots of other little extras that I had no idea what they were! I just knew that if I locked myself out I could ask any passer by if I could borrow their keys & still get in it!
I now have a Ford Puma & a Toyota MR2 which I'm glad to say are much more secure biggrin
A mk1 Ford Cortina that cost £90 which was over two months money in them days. I remember that the outside was superb which was a miracle in those days when cars got rusty, but I'm sure the guy I got it from was a lion tamer cos the inside was ripped to shreads, but it got me around when it would start or when I could get the £3 together to fill the tank up with petrol..
Hillman Imp....push button ignition.....called Sadie! redface
i passed my test had my license 4 a year..................................
and got let loose in mikes 2.8 granada!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
mike had a vauxhall wyvern..............an old rust box he says but it looked good from the outside..............
then it blew up on tower bridge one night and he walked away and disowned it............those were the days..........lol......................no cameras............today it`d be a controlled explosion...................... biggrin
aaaahhhh mine was a c reg metro mg lovely car and o soooooo fast
only problem was the heating didnt work
meant that mr chesty and myself had to cuddle up to keep warm though biggrin
shame we always got caught people obviously hadn't heard about doggin then redface
a red VW beetle with a press-stud roll-back roof......... and a 1.6 engine...... body kit and fancy wheels..............
the main problem with it was that the whole floor was rusty... u could see the road through certain holes......
also , because it was a conversion to right hand drive, some clever sod had left an exposed accelorarator cable on the passenger side , that could be pressed by the passenger, and made for a complete death-trap.......
it was the summer of love.. 1990... and i had a bitchin stereo system installed and had the latest tunes pumping "open-air rave stylee"... i used to cruise down the road with mates hanging out the back, pulling girlies left right and centre and cos the roof was down.... no-one could smell the dope........ he he
it was better than the dog bollox..........

once got into and started a mk1 with a fishknife rotflmao quality security.
had one of my mini's hotwired for about 6 months cos i didn't get round to changing the ignition, think i was the only person who had a bit of blue wire and 2 crocodile clips for an ignition key.
currently have 4 cars (well it's 4 as long as nobody's nicked the one, not been to see it for over 2 years redface ) really want to get my Jag back on the road, but at 19mpg average it's a bit pricey
oh..mine was a silver..viva..with plastic seats......anyone in back would slide from one side to other when I went round a corner.......
I'm sure we saw most of these 'first cars' in the car parks at the Munch... :giggle: :giggle: :giggle: :giggle:
How many would now be classics if we 'had' kept them?? Your all petrol heads.
Mike xx
Ooh my first car was a boy racer Cortina lol No furry dice, but a tuned engine biggrin .
Before cars, I always had bikes, Motocross, and road, one of which I still have, a Suzuki GS750 ( in my possession for 20 years now).
When that cortina died, I had
A Bedford van
Opel manta 2 litre, very nice car for its day.
Another Cortina, it was rubbish
A Sierra
A Mazda 323 GT, good little car
An Astra
A Transit van
Another Transit van
My lovely Toyota Celica :D
A Suzuki GSXR 1100 , and various other bikes etc.
I quite fancy a jet boat, but thats not a car
Oooh, mine was a Lada too. Real heap, but it never let me down. Sold it to a bloke up the road for £100 - 20 minutes later he came back asking for his money back cos his wife wouldn't let him 'waste his money on a rusbucket like that'...
Next was a 2CV, ahh fond memories. Parked in a country lane, top down, getting my first BJ from my first GF  biggrin wink
Japes
Metalic green Opel Manta S with a black Vinyl roof...lol....went great till a mate put diesel in it...Muppet !!
A Mk I Lotus Cortina, but rather clapped out, it still scared the shit out of me though. I soooooo wish I had it today.

:
I locked myself out of my Cortina once and got in with my house key ffs !
I got into my Dollomite with a coat hanger lol
First car was a Ford Anglia with a 1500 gt engine
But favourite was a 67 E Type Jag,wish I'd still got it, he says saddly
my first car 15 yrs ago now was a 83 a reg and the reg was a43wkw god thats sad i still remember the reg lol ford capri in jet black not the sort of car a new driver as i was should have as a first car but oh well i loved it . cost me and was totally mint was very fast even for todays standerds i had 130 out of it lol
My first car was a Talbot Samba 750cc, she was surprisingly nippy.
Then a Ford Escort which I hated.
A Vauxhall Cavalier which never went wrong in 6 years
A Vauxhall Calibra, lovely to drive but the timing belt snapped - as did all 16 valves.
A toyota celica, purple, beautiful to drive
Emma, my vw camper, not very fast but having a bed in the boot is handy

Now I have a white one.

:therethere: :therethere: :therethere: :therethere: :therethere:
Don't you worry your pretty little blonde head about all this car and techy stuff kiss
redface I passed my test 20 yrs ago & only drove my dads car the once when a drink driver flew into me- got three broken ribs, my dads car a right off (they were on holiday & told me not to drive the car lol as you always do as what your parents say  ) and in the end got a massive fine for having no insurance surprisedops:
hence not driven a car personally since & have no confidence to get back behind the wheel
His is my chauffeur now
Fiat Panda... the original square ones, 2 levers and a couple of buttons called itself a dashboard! Half the engine area was the spare tyre.... but it had carpets! woohoo!
Bit scary on the motorway, passing HGV tailwinds would force me on to the hard shoulder but it was mine and I bombed all over the country in it as a student.
Now drive a polo.... unfortunately not polo lady
I only passed my test last year! redface rolleyes
'Our' first car was a Blue Escort Ghia 1.6..... then a red one exactly the same which died in a head on smash at 60mph, with the engine ending up where the gearstick is - and neither of us lost limbs and daughter & dog in the back without a scratch on them  ......
so... my car is a 1.6 Escort Cabaret, and I dont think i'll ever drive anything else :inlove: she gets me from A to B, drives like a dream, is showing signs of rust and swallows keep crapping on her, but she's all mine lol
My first car was a 98-S Toyota Starlet, strange to think that the lass who sold it me, and indeed made a wedge out of me, now works for me as I am now her Sales Manager and will never let her forget it.

I'm really shocked you drive a hairdressers car, i've always seen you more as a Hummer driver (pimped with the opional fluffy pink body kit)
