our chrimbo day we've got the outlaws :duel: coming, usually bout 12ish....me in the kitchen getting the dinner ready,tv facing the kitchen so i can keep a eye on the film..windows open cos it'll be like a fooking sauna in there :sticky: ,regardless of how cold it is outside..dinner for about 2ish..watch the queen..put on another film....and then get the booze out. drinkies  :drinkies:

Going to be a quiet one for us as will have just moved house and Dave will have just come back from sea, but going to make sure plenty of wine and food still about!!!!!!! smile
We will no doubt be getting up very early on xmas morning! to a very excited 4 year old wanting to see if santa has been! :bounce:.
We`ll come down stairs and eat the bacon off the turkey  .
Then get stuck into the pressies, before going off to visit a few family members.
Mr Lyns will then cook us an over indulgent xmas dinner with all the trimmings .
We will prob then be putting toys together before going to friends for a few drinkies  in the evening.
So all in all just a quiet(ish) family xmas lol
Just going to be another day in the life of a single girl here. Unless of course, anyone has any interesting offers to liven up an otherwise ordinary day wink
Xmas eve wil be spend cooking a small turkey and preparing everything, have a drink etc. about 11;30 bring all santas presents downstairs half eat a carrot and mince pie drink santas's wine  at midnight me and dek open our presents from each other (leaving one none rude one to open in from of son on the morning)
Xmas day will be just me dek and the child, i always wake son up about 8 am other wise he would sleep til midday, we open santa presents first :bounce: dinner then a lazy afternoon in front of the telly with alcohol and sweets rolleyes while dek visits his mother (a ritual i get out of  )tea time we just have munchies and i put another turkey in the oven. then do some cleaning up ect.
Boxing day we have my parents and siblings come and stay so on the morning im arranging a xmas dinner again  when they arrive we open presents from each other, then eat around tea time, watch the kids playing with toys afterwards then get the kids to bed and watch my dad and dek having a drinking competition and i act as barmaid then bed
eh, lol sitting on the beach. cool
Chicken and some trimmings to eat then out to the bar
:bounce:
Oh and logging on to chat to you all.. :bounce:
Another strange one like last year but hopefully not as hard. confused My mum's been widowed just over a year now and it's almost a year to the day since I split with my ex so it can only get better, right?
Decided to have Crimbly dinner on Xmas Eve after early evening Mass so that'll be a nice change. The big day itself, the OnlyChild will toddle off to her dad's for the most of it leaving me to play with her new toys and fight my mother for sofa space. lol
Taking Hornier to meet the parents
:giggle:
No doubt we will go to the father-in-laws again lol .
On christmas eve Stileto will be at her sisters helping her wrap prezzies surprised as the sister is so unorganized  .
Christmas morning I will probably be ripped from the arms of Morpheus at early o'clock by Stileto demanding that I get up so she can open presents (shes such a child).
Once the prezzies are open & we have had breakfast we can then go round & see the disorganized sister & her brood & get shouted at as we brought the youngest a drum set  .
At about 1 o'clock we will have a damn fine dinner prepared by her father  & i'll have to grab the climbing gear to get to the top of it (he puts to much on a plate).
Then the moment ive been waiting for Stileto & her dad go off to the club for the rest of the afternoon/evening leaving me to confused:
 PLAY MY PS 3 IN PEACE  .
p.s we have just had our 1st carol singer :eeek: a bit bloody early for my liking  .

Flippin 'eck Tan, won't you be cream crackered??? and all that turkey?
I'm passed the having to leave mince pies and carrots out  .. I'll be lucky this year and probably not have to get up at an unearthly hour. Jay's into cooking at the minute so he'll prepare lunch and I'll do something that some of us should do more of...sit with my feet up, a glass of mulled wine and watch the c*ap on TV, what could be better?
How do you know Santa is male?
Because he has to be rewarded with a glass of alcohol for doing a job once a year

Well, at least you didn't call me "hun"!!! lol
Thankyou
I might come round yours actually ....
Family... pressies... food... more pressies... more family... more food!!
My Dad has given up drinking this year (mostly successfully, I am proud to say) so we'll be having our first dry Christmas as a family to support him. Sounds hard, but you know what, it'll be the best thing ever! Happy, sober and healthy - can't ask for much better than that!
Nola xx
I'm off to thailand tomorrow !
I'll be scuba diving off the Surin or Similan Islands hopefully.

My back door is closed (fnar fnar) but my front door is always open drinkies
I'll be at my Mums for Xmas as usual. Carol singing by the lamp post up the road on Xmas eve followed by drinks at a neighbours until the younger ones of us can sneak out to the pub, then midnight mass at the church opposite the pub, then home to bed. But not before leaving a glass of sherry and a mince pie for Santa (and yes I'm the baby of the family redface and I do still get a stocking surprisedpps: )
Xmas morning family open pressies off each other and any other pressies that have been sent. Then dash up the road to a neighbours for a glass of Champagne and back again in time for Uncle to arrive with the Grumps. Then big dinner with my Mum telling us that this year we are going to watch the Queens speech this year.....only for dinner to be late and we miss it anyway :lol2:
Then all collapse on the sofa and more pressies :bounce: then fall asleep for a bit if I get chance but normally I spend most of the time running around after the Grumps finding where they've left their glasses/handbag/tablets etc. Then more booze comes out and we all have to play a family game, at which point my Granddad disappears off to a different room for some peace and quiet.
Always the same every year, it's lovely but by boxing day I'm sick of them all and itching to get out of there :lol2:
Working sad
After a few years of being hospitable and taking in all waifs and strays from the extended family, we have put our feet down and said this year its for us, me and Mr M..............alone.
Oh what bliss.........
We both love Christmas and will be doing all the traditional stuff...............but this year on Christmas Day we just "wanna be together".......
We are having a 2nd Christmas Day for family a couple of days later which is fantastic as we get the best of both worlds............just call me greedy........
Oh in the evening we will be sitting round a log fire, nice wine, nice nibbles and ................oooh im getting all hot thinking about it..........
MERRY CHRISTMAS xxx
Were spending christmas in Ireland with the outlaws lol . Thankfully we all get on really well, which is a good thing seeing as there is 17 of us for christmas dinner  .
Hopefully it will snow, so we can go out and make snowmen and bombard poor grandad with snowballs :giggle:
The pace of life over there is much slower so they tend to sleep in a bit later there but I ( not the kids) will have them up at the crack of dawn on Christmas day ready to open their present's.
We'll get the dinner on nice and early so we have loads of time to play games after :thrilled:
:inlove: I just love Christmas.
Louise xx
Did I mention my real name initials spell out ELF cool
Its our first christmas (all together now - ahhhhhh) so who knows, I do have a few surprises in store for the Domestic Sergeant Major.
off to France!
No kids in the house so a civilised start for me, Thevillians and my 20 year-old.
Bacon and american pancakes for breakfast, presents while singing to the carols on the radio. Then fetching the aged parent over from hers. Lunch is all the trimmings but steak instead of turkey and the afternoon is our choice of DVD - probably Muppets Xmas Carol. Taking the aged parent home after a buffet (ie eat as much as you like) tea. Peaceful, lots of food and good peeps biggrin
not sure yet but likely senario is christmas eve i go to the pub and in the morning wake up to a bacon sarnie. Lunch time go for a traditional drink at the pub (missed it last year rolleyes ) then back home to a big T bone and a stupidly expensive red wine with me tv/music/dvd/pc
me myself and I bollocks to them
Pre-Christmas stuff
Bake constantly (to Christmas carols) to load freezer full of sausage rolls and mince pies
21st - friend's party
22nd - swinging club (wey hey)
Christmas Eve
Bake gingerbread men with children (to great tacky Christmas songs the kids love like Slade)
Go to Christmas crib service
Have friends over after, kids to all play, have huge dinner for all of us with copious amounts of wine
Christmas Day
Day off this year!!! But still have to provide some food as family member we're visiting this year is a crap cook  (a fecking bugger on Christmas day)
Morning doing stockings all in our dressing gowns, sipping tea (hate alcohol before lunch)and being together.
Boxing day
Feed Parents for lunch then off to other relatives for afternoon of silly games and jovial happenings
28th
Outrageous friends party
31st
Even more outrageous friends party
1st
Friends long walk to try and attempt to walk off Christmas excesses
2nd
collapse
IN EDIT: realised must get new party dress, it's good VFM if you get to wear it to more than one party!
