You know, the bargain that has you grinning when you remember it.
For us, it was our dishwasher. A Zanussi which I saw advertised on Ebay when we moved back down south in 2005. It was only 18 months old but was faulty ... wouldn't heat the water. It was local so I took a punt and got it for 99p. Pom soldered 'something' (please dont ask me to get technical) and hey presto! It's never given us a days trouble and I'd say that was a doozie of a bargain!!
So what was your best bargain?
wor lass. I got her for a glass of diet coke.
She has only broken down once and otherwise rarely gives me a moments trouble.
Aside from the 'princess' mornings...
yup, all told a bargain. biggrin
My kitchen worktops biggrin Cost me £25 per 3M length in No Frills DIY and the same ones in b&q would have cost me over £60 each. Got some fab black granite floor tiles too which are going on the wall at only a fiver a box

Oh I dunno - both are flat, firm and provide a steady surface for your back to be pressed against!

I picked up two packs of muffins in Tesco from the short code shelf. They were two for one. They paid me to take them away.

I seem to remember Tesco gave extra points away with bananas, the points were worth more than the sale.

and you being the all knowing man that you are should know that you CAN put floor tiles on the wall ( and they look better than wall tiles sometimes ) but you can't put wall tiles on the floor. flipa

I bought a lot of flightcases for about £50. opened them up later and found a broadcast quality sound mixer, a half decent video projector, a camera positioning system and a few other bits. Made about £500 so far selling the stuff and the camera positioner is worth about the same. The flightcases have been bloody useful too biggrin
I also bought my video camera tripod for £30, the bloke had bought it to use with a stills camera and found it was the wrong type. I nearly snatch his hand off when he confirmed the price (i was convinced it was a misprint) as they were, until being discontinued last year, almost £400 (and it was in mint condition). a good days shopping that was
Top of the range pc, laptop, printer and various software from pc world... last year
Paid with credit card to the sum of £3000 ish
Got the statement
Nada not a thing innocent think the balance was to pay

In June this year I went to my local GAP in the New Mersey Retail Park & got two lovely shirts for....
.
That's EACH.
Both Shirts are perfect, nothing wrong with them.
Their original price each....
.
When I went to the till, I was thinking that they had made a mistake but hoped that they would'nt realize..then as the Shop Assistant put's the Barcodes under the scanner the display reads...
.
Well am sure that Shop Assistant has never seen a customer (me) give them a £10 note as quick as what I did.... lol
Well that's my story & that price I never seen beat even at Chesire Oaks...with that being a discount Retail Park.
