My son's junior school one this evening.
He was playing guitar solo, and his teacher fluffed the singing bit. But my son carried on. :thrilled: :thrilled: :thrilled:

I've seen them twice - that was the first tour I saw. The second was even better, Angus on Scotts shoulders in the crowd, doing Bad Boy Boogie!!

Sting's first solo gig - at Newcastle City Hall
Meatloaf - 8 years on the trot at Newcastle City Hall and Glasgow Appollo
The Animals - at The Cluny (1 Animal, 1 Creedence Clearwater Revival and 1 unknown fantastic unknown singer)
Mori Kante - Riverside
Nithin Sawhney - at The Sage Gateshead
Runrig - at Edinburgh Castle - WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW

Runrig - at Edinburgh Castle - WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW

Go Jags lol i've seen Runrig 7 times mostly in Aberdeen and its always a brilliant night out.
But for me the best concert I've ever been to had to be the 1986 Monsters of Rock at Donnington park ( 100,000 + metal heads there lol ) when Iron Maiden headlined.
AC/DC in Aberdeen ( 1996 ) comes a very close second with Metallica ( 1996 Milton Keynes Bowl ) just into 3rd lol.

Favourites would be:
Seen Prince about 7 times from 1990 - 1998 (all over country) - fantastic
Lenny Kravitz 3 times from 1995- 1998 (all over country)- fantastic live...fantastic voice
Marilyn Manson - excellent show...... but not the best live singer!!

Billy Joel live was always amazing. As well as 2 1/2 hours of solid music without support, he would spar/box with the microphone and cartwheel over the piano.
Saw GnR at Wembley. That was mad. Someone left with their leg in plaster.:hunk:
My favourite gig was probably Hall & Oates at Battersea Park, London; I was supposed to see Billy Joel & Elton John at Wembley, but Billy was ill - gutted sad .
Made my way over to Battersea and managed to get in. It was a Threshers organised gig and everyone was pissed and mellow. drinkies
Last song was their version of Me and Mrs Jones, which Daryl sang soooo sweetly. I whistled it all the way home innocent . It was such a high then low then high of a day. biggrin

It's a 3-way for first place.
Morrissey down in Alexandra Palace years ago. Kirsty McColl supported, and Shane Mcgowan did a walk-on for fairytale - I remember them kind of waltzing together... great stuff
Jane's Addiction - London somewhere --- very very good... breathtaking.
Soundgarden - Manchester somewhere --- ditto.
Actually, a close second would have to be Bare Naked Ladies. Kind of saw them accidently - I just happened to be at the Leadmill that night - but they were lots of fun, and I'd only really heard the Brian Wilson song before I saw them that night. Quite a treat I suppose! smile
Oh, now I come to think of it, I would love to see Bert Jansch again... OK, I'll hit submit now! rolleyes

on the close second front.. in the middle of 2000 went to paris on business stayed in the alcor hotel in the gare de noir..and craig david did a small gig in our hotel large bar and i sat with 2 of the 3 girls from mystique it was great

god the sisters at top rank suite...a damn good evening, although due to a mix of chemical imbalance, strobe lighting and a great deal of smoke from the smoke machines, it's still a blur....

Santana in Tuscon, Arizona about 13 years ago, and the Chilli Peppers in Manchester last year.
In addition, the bizarrest was The Incredible String Band, also last year.

Saw Limehouse Lizzy (top Lizzy tribute band) last night for about the tenth time. They really rock. In fact although its sacrilage to say but I think that they are tighter than the actual Lizzy live who were more often than not off their heads.

Big Country at the town and country club in Kentish Town, say what you like about them but they were absolutely brilliant live.
Manic Street Preachers Leeds Town and Country club first time I heard Catatonia live, was gobsmacked even forgot to order my beer.
Bad Manners at the Robey in London, came out drenched in sweat and my legs were dyed blue from my jeans
Nerf Herder in the Cathouse Glasgow came on and apologised for being off due to the flu but still played a blinder, even their most well known tune ( buffy theme tune) was giving a revamp where they played the opening chords crowd went wild and led into the magic roundabout theme

Jane's Addiction.....mine and Mz Lizard's "tune" is 'been caught stealing' by Jane's Addiction. It was our first dance together, yah know, after eyes meeting across a packed club sort of thing. Perry Farrell is certainly one of the best front men.
For me:
Sex Pistols in Chicago. A fantastic end to one of the most memorable days of my life!
