Hi guys, having noticed a few recent celebrations and the pending one of my own.... bolt
I just wondered.......
.........what was worse to dread or best to celebrate.... dunno
30 or 40 ????????????
:violin: drinkies boink :dunno: :boink: :dunno: :boink: :dunno: :boink: :dunno: :drinkies: :violin:
there was people saying they were dreading reaching 30, and i have to say, i have never felt better, than since passing 30
when i reached 30, i realised i wasnt the man i thought i was when i was 25
if im being honest, im actually looking forward to reaching 40
I hated my 30th..... hated it.
My 40th I loved.... Mmm Strange.
30 i felt I could no longer be a youth.... 40 I just didn't care! Age does have benifits too..
Mike x
Well, I cant speak for 40 ( yet ) but I do admit that I was miserable on my 30th. I was so sad for some reason about no longer being able to say "I'm in my 20's" Yeah, so 29 is at the upper end of 20's but it was still there dammit.
I am celebrating 34 in a few weeks .. anyone wanna come make sure I don't get sad? lmao
So what are you hitting Foxy?
I dreaded being 30 confused :? To the point of being depressed about it...
40.... Now that's a completely different kettle of fish... I LOVED getting to 40 :lol2:
I hated the thought of turning 30 but I have to say, the dirty thirties are excellent :giggle:
Not looking forward for being 40 at all :eeek:
I often forget that I am 38 and keep thinking I'm five years younger dunno

It's other way round for me.
Loved 30 going to dread 40
aaaaaaaaaagggggggggghhhhhhhhhh :scared:
nooooo
i havent even really thought about the actual birthday thing as in age - it was intentional that all my attention would shift from the whole 'being 30' thing to 'omg, 4 sleeps to go and 116 people coming' thing instead. I have nicely used avoidance tactics for the last few weeks quite effectively lol
ah well , reality had to hit home sooner or later  someone pass the prozac
I hardly noticed 30. If my parents hadn't made a fuss and organised a party it would have been another six months before I realised.
My late 20s and early 30s were both good, for very different reasons. It would have been wonderful to be able to combine them.
I'll let you know what 40 is like when I get there.

I loved being 30, I'm looking forward to be 40. I hated being 37, I have no idea why, I have no problems with 38. Weird huh?
H.x
I'm 27... how would I know? dunno
:giggle:
Dread if Septic win the League
Celebrate when Rangers win the league :thrilled:
Follow Follow wink
I feel the same as most of the 40-somethings here. I hated my 30th, felt like my life was over and I was on the downhill slope to old age. My 40s on the other hand, have been fantastic ! I don't think life begins at 40 bit it sure gets much better wink
Remember hunni, a man might reach his peak in his early 30s ( yah boo sucks to you lot then flipa :evil2: ) but women reach theirs in their 40s so look forward to it !

Louise here. I quite enjoyed turning 30 and was looking forward to it, but when i turned 31 a couple of weeks ago i cried my eyes out. I dont know why. Just started feeling a bit old i guess. I can feel the wrinkles appearing as we I think i will give my birthday a miss next year.
