What’s wrong with some people on this site?
They message you saying very interested in a chat/meet, etc.; you reply back and to for a couple of messages, and then they disappear into thin air
You message them again to see if everything ok the day after, and then the most annoying thing is they read your message and don't reply back ….
But they are the ones contacting us

I've had that, time and place all arranged but then he disappeared. I wasn't prepared to travel an hour to a strange train station when he'd not replied for 3 days. I moaned about it on the chat here the night before it was due to happen and someone else said he was free and could accommodate. I had a very pleasant time with a tall, muscular, tanned gardener.
Also had someone who kept arranging to meet and then there was always an excuse why he had to rearrange to a later date. After 3 cancelations I gave up.
I don't understand it either.
In my opinion, lots think they have the courage it takes to meet people off of a chat or a few messages,but when push comes to shove,they back out of it.
For some, the thrill is in the anticipated meet but they very rarely turn up.
It puts lots of people off actually arranging meets but it's a part of this lifestyle unfortunately.
As a person in a famous film once said "its the antici..............pation."

I have always insisted on meeting in a public place for a coffee/drink etc prior to anything happening as it were. You get even less takers then and predominantly no-shows.
I hope to graduate from getting no replies at all to being stood up in due course.

I always meet somewhere public, (well all apart from once when I had to let myself in to a house and find a darkened bedroom) but skip the coffee/drinks. I've met 6 people in the last year from here, one of them repeatedly, and had 2 fails but at least I realised that they were going to be no-shows and didn't travel.
I've had this recently too. Lady contacts me - I'll not name the couple in question - seems up for a meeting, sends me pix of herself, we've arranged which town we could meet in - half way between where they live and my home city - then nothing. They didn't log into the site for most of the following week but still no contact when they returned. OK, I get that life gets in the way sometimes (I wouldn't have been able to book a hotel anyway as I was waiting for a new debit card) but common courtesy dictates an apology or explanation at least. Does in my book leastways.
I don't believe I came on too strong at any time during the conversations - it's not my way - and she made the first move so it's a mystery to me why she blanked me. It's possible she'll get in touch again but I won't hold my breath...

Actually, I see that the couple in question haven't logged on since the end of last month so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt as I have no way of knowing what might have occurred.
Breath still not held, this isn't my first rodeo...
