I am woefully out of touch when it comes to current music. Am afraid I tend to be stuck in my own lil world when it comes to artists I like & listen to them regardless of them being currently 'en vogue' or not.
From what I have heard of Portishead's 'Third' I will def be purchasing it though... Loooong overdue but worth the wait.

oh gosh I love Prince...
the song that I am listening to at the mo' is Dixie Chicks 'not ready to make nice' .... very political but also very well written.
Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel. Make me smile
How can I resist adding my two penn'orth since the thread has come round to Prince!?!
worship :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:
I am listening to loads of the old stuff at the mo. Am loving the 'Around the World in a Day' album - Pop Life and Raspberry Beret, both complete gems of pop songs.
But, having been to the concert last August (seen him a number of times, this was defo the best) I can also highly recommend Shhh! from the Gold Experience album. Seeing it live was great, seriously sexy...
Oh feck it, just listen to them all... the man is a genius I tell ya!!!

Guess what.....I know all the words! Shall I sing it to ya? The Dixie Chicks are fab, btw....
:karaoke:
"I'm not ready to back down, I'm still mad as hell and I don't have time to go round & round & round......"
"......and how in the world could the words that I say send somebody so over the edge that they'd write me a letter, saying that I'd better shut up & sing or my life would be over"
Shutting up.

Heartbeat is their new single - saw it on MTV last night and although I can't abide She's So Lovely I really liked that one!
My favourite is pretty much anything off Adele's album, especially Make You Feel My Love. She's got an amazing voice and I fantasise at least daily about an hour stuck between her and Beth Ditto
