I don't means what's happening in the sky right now, I mean- what floats yer boat? What moves you?
I had a visit from a male friend this morning, and though we don't usually chat about the weather, we both commented that it was, and had been for a while, boring.
Personally, I'm at my best in tempestuous weather. I love many different weather states for different reasons- but it's when a gale is roaring, waves are crashing against the shore and a thundersorm is brewing...
We were away in a caravan for a few days last October. A storm came in from the North Sea, and raged overhead all night- the lightning was amazing, and the thunder was deafening. It raged all night long, and as we were among very tall trees we spent the night expecting a branch to grace us with it's company. It was, quite simply awesome- and I felt, erm, insatiable.
That's my weather of choice, ta muchly Mother Nature...what's yours confused:
i love its when its very hot and dry (as opposed to hot and humid which i dont like) also love a good storm and battering rain!
Warm and dry
or hot and dry
If it going to rain please do it over night lol
Light days, no dark days

Me TOOOOOOO!!!!
In the Tropics.
The thrill of the sudden downpour and the smell sight and sounds afterwards. Dreamlike.
Hot & Dry here .... love the warm weather, sitting out by the river perv *ahem* watching people, cold beer and a nice long walk :rascal: in the countryside with a blanket, picnic and secluded spot!
I love howling winds and rains that tap on the window and bounce of the ground lol
I'm odd
Spring, when everything is starting to grow and little lambs are born...aaaw makes me all gooey and soft doesn't it?? biggrin
I love the smell of Spring when you go out in the morning and it's sunny but still a nip in the air, lovely and fresh!
I have this weird thang that happens where I suffer extreme splitting head aches when im within a few miles of a thunder its to do with barometric pressure and the air pockets in your head (I guess I have larger areas of air lol).
Anyway the headaches turn to throbbing head and eventually incredible tired flu like feeling all of which means that when the storm breaks after just a few drops of rain I feel like a million dollars, like a weight has been lifted almost literally - it just takes seconds.
Silky still insists its just an excuse not to bring the washing in

You can tell you're a scan reader! lol
That's a season, not a weather type.

You're not alone, I get terrible headaches just before thunder and they disappear once the air has cleared. smile

I love that storm rain that comes straight down and cuts you off from the rest of the world. (When I'm not in the car though.) When the road becomes a river and the rain bounces back up with huge force. I can stand in my porch and stay perfectly dry and enjoy the noise, the cool, moist air and the feeling of being cut off, however briefly, from the drudgery of the real world.
I love that almost metallic smell just before a storm then watching the sky go dark before the heavens open and the lightning streaks across the sky.
It's fab laying in bed during a storm and listening to the rain in the trees biggrin
The house we live in now has diamond leaded windows (original single-glazed, metal-framed etc) and when the rain is lashing against them it makes a lovely sound. It's almost musical because each pane of glass makes a slightly different note. I love listening to it in my warm cosy bed, or in front of the fire biggrin
Thunderbolts and lightning
Very Very Frightening Me...
With occasional Tornadic outbursts...
Followed by sun and lots of it...
I like the autumn weather... when the leaves have turned and it's blowy and cold but not freezing, there's no rain, just leaves dancing in the wind. So I guess that's a season too but that's my favourite sort of weather. I like the sunshine but let's face it there's not much of that up here and heat is nice for a couple of weeks when I'm on holiday but it just makes my hair go frizzy. Blustery it is!
I do not like weather, I like to know that the sun will shine, but not to high. I like to know it will be warm enough, but not to hot. It can rain, but I do not want to have to dry my shirt.

So why is it, if 'we' (as a nation) can moan the most about rain, the majority of the posters here have stated that their favourite weather is ..... yep rain in one form or another? rolleyes
Could it be that we just like to moan about the weather (whatever it may be)? Too hot/cold/wet/dry/windy etc. What would we do if it was always the same? wink

I like change- but my favourite weather is tempestuous.
I can't speak for other people, but apart from mentioning dull nonentity weather days, I don't moan about it- what would be the point?

I think we just like moaning, full stop.
I much prefer any real weather to the grey monotony we live in most of the year...
I almost wet myself when it snowed recently I was so excited.
