cleaned your TV remote handset (and DVD and Wii and Xbox etc etc etc)?
I just did mine - had a close look and they were manky, disgusting. A clean with a damp microfibre cloth did the trick. They are no longer different shades of fingermark and no longer sticky. I hadn't realised they WERE sticky until they weren't - if you see what I mean.
I'm pretty good about light switches, but had let the remotes get on with their lives without a thought. No longer - they will get regular cleans. None of this antibacterial nonsense though - a few germs keeps your immune system in match-fit condition anyway. Clean is ample - sterile is one chemical too far. (We're lucky, no-one in our household has a compromised immune system.)
Never. They look clean to me.
*runs*
Mrs Leics has to prise it out of my hand first !!!!
Being a typical bloke , the remote control is in danger of becoming worn out.
Oh i did let her have it (the remote) on monday for the horse trials.
I don`t have a tv etc but every now and then I take all the keys off the keyboard and clean them.
I clean all the keyboards in my office too as 2 of them are used by other staff, and religiously clean my office telephone as everyone uses it, no germs for me thank you
A little known fact is that the rubber keys on some remotes will actually leech the oil out of your finger tips. I didn't realise that until the $ky one stopped working and I took it apart. There was a river of human oil covering the PCB contacts under the rubber keypad!
