do they absolutely have to show a photo to get any sort of response? Just wondered because I dont have a digital camera and am quite unlikely to get one because I wouldnt use it enough. The last two disposable cameras I bought still have exposures left, and I got them years ago!!
I figure if I am prepared to take the chance on a girl being ok, I should get the same back confused

: I know that women are innundated with offers so might see it differently, just wanted to get a female perspective.

Unlikely - you will usually be expected to supply some sort of phallic appendage as well.
Speaking for us, the pictures are not entirely about ensuring physical attraction. It is also a declaration of genuine intent. A sign of good faith. It does not mean that you will not get invites to meet, just makes it more difficult.
What about borrowing one (a camera - not a picture, that has been tried before!)?
Or better still, find someone to take the pictures for you. :twisted:

I'm possibly rather strange in the fact that when I used to meet singles guys I preferred NOT to be sent a photo, and if I was I very often didn't look at it, for the mere fact that I liked the suprise (I said I was strange) - but Kat is right really - most people do prefer photos being sent as a sign of genuine interest - however, this is no way assured, how many people have got pics sent that re obviously not the person they are meant to be - loads I bet! wink

. Plenty of people ask for clothed pics only, so surely you can oblige them that if they ask? 8)

Not so strange blue.
At a time when I was looking for meets with single girls (dating, often hot but not swinging lol) found it fun not to send photographs, made meeting extra exciting. One girl I met turned out an absolute stunner. Expecting to see her in jeans, she decided at the last minute to to dress to kill, short skirt, the works. Someone up there liked me that day smile

. Others better looking than most of the photo ads here so not about looks. What we had in common was genuinly caring about personality and conversation, although we weren't looking for more than a quick fling and some excitement.
ready2swing - yes you can meet an pretty and horny woman from a swing site without sending pics. Been there. Wake up! this is the 21st Century, jeez can't get a pic sounds like you've something to hide bigtime - that silver tongue needs serious polishing.

My personal experiences are this:
I don't send a pic first unless the ad specifically says "only replies with pics will be answered" If a woman gets 100 replies and everyone has a pic attached her mail box will soon be bursting, and the download time on a dial up will go through the roof.
However I ALWAYS offer a pic when mailing a reply, and make sure they get it pdq (pretty damn quick)
And as for the suggestion that you get someone else to take some pics of you, wel that is something i can thoroughly reccomend wink

Thanks for your responses guys (and women). The input was as suspected really, just needed confirmation. Was really good that so many responded, often forums tend to be a closed shop and only threads by popular members get any attention, you really are a great bunch.

Whilst not wishing to break any confidences, I'm sure Beckers won't mind me saying that THUS FAR he has mostly come across a couple of mixed up 'Doris' type women.
I'm sure he would also admit to making a couple of good pals.... but practicalities of distance, etc, make it hard to keep these friendship viable with regard to meetings etc.
It's always the same (for me as well) - the nice, interesting ones live far too far away and the nearby ones are time wasters....
Unless any women out there do live near Beckers and aren't simply in it for an ego massage...?
But I can vouch for the fact Beckers is a gent and meant no personal inferences wink
