It was not long ago I was reading all about English pride, how people wanted to show that they were proud to be English, and that is why they were sporting english flags.
I was reading comments about how it was ok to do it in USA, France, Germany etc, but not here.
I saw posts like “I will take my flag down when you take your turban off “ etc
But now as I walk about and all the flags seem to have gone? Have all the people wearing turbans taken them off? Are all these people that were moaning not worried anymore?
There has been something of a resurgence in English flags in recent weeks; most thinking that they are something to do with the world cup and displaying such flags on their cars.
They are in fact a hazard warning and serve as a notice to other drivers that the person driving said adorned vehicle is an absolute **!!*?*!!
They serve a useful purpose which I wish they would continue to use on a permanent basis lol
They are on the hard shoulder of the M25!

Also the M3....M4...etc. lol
After the disaster of the footie mine went straight in the bin.
Not only have the flags disappeared but much of the TV and newspaper hype has disappeared as well. It couldn't go a moment too soon. At least now we can watch TV or read a newspaper without having the 'nationally important news' that some bloody footballer sneezed or farted!!!!!

Ticket sales have already been hit at Wembley apparently. According to a report I read, many corporate seats have not been renewed. The deadline was yesterday to do this and many firms have chosen to lose their license deposits rather than shell out to entertain business guests with an England game.
Of course, it's a moot point as to whether or not those seats should be available for real football fans but apparently Wembley is anticipating a drop in numbers even from these.
