OK you lovely people, be gentle with me as I'm starting my very first thread!
So where did you meet your other half? Was it love at first sight or did love creep up on you gradually?
Being happily divorced, I was going out with a friend of Mr 777s, and we all met up at Brands Hatch for a World Superbike meeting. Having ditched the mate a few weeks later, Mr 777 and I met up to go out for a drink purely as 'plutonic' friends. Needless to say that lasted until we finished our drink and the rest, as they say, is history!!
So come on ......... spill the beans ...

love at first sight for me
i saw mr b coming up the escalator in our local bus station and thought oh wow i gotta meet that man but he had a gorgeous gal with him so didn't approach nut then a couple of days later i saw him in my local talkin to my mates fella so asked him about said sexy bloke and was very relieved to find out gorgeous gal was his sister and he was single
well the rest as they say is history and 20 years later i'm still crazily in love with my super sexy hubby redface
Went on a social from SH to Rios and David was there too! :bounce:
Messaged a few times, then lost contact cos I'm rubbish at messages. Then got back in contact a few months later.
Met in London and he suggested a walk along the river - sounds so lovely, but he lost the river  How can someone live in London and lose the bluddy Thames  dunno Gave up looking and we went for a drink/meal instead cool
I drove to his the following week to go out again, and brought my overnight bag with me 8-) 8-) 8-)
Decided to do the exclusive thing (exclusive as with each other and only swing together) a few weeks later.
3 years on, he's moved down this way and we're still going strong!! :bounce:

I say yes, but David says things like 'what time does Top Gear start?' or 'I'm just gonna go and count the bristles on this paint brush, wont be long' or has a coughing fit and won't give a definite yay or nay :undecided:
Think I need to be a little less subtle  Although might wait until next leap year and scare the crap out of him again, t'was fun this year :lol2:

Dave and I met at a naval base in Gosport he was on a course and I was working for the Naafi, my 1st recollection of him was him moaning about the fact his pay had been mucked up, when he came and sat with me on my break. I think he was being nice to me because he fancied my mate lol, a load of us used to go out as a group and some how we drifted together and just haven't drifted apart and that was over 18 years ago, so we must be doing something right biggrin :D

I meet my hubby the day my brother bought a new friend from school home.
When I first saw my hubby I was 13 and for me it was love at first sight, I knew on that day I was going to marry him.
Shame he didn’t feel the same way, it just took two years to convince him that I was worth at least a kiss.
At the age of 15 I told his dad I was going to marry his son, how confided was I? redface
Well we have been together 29 years in November. :inlove:
We have been Married for 21 years.

As for me, I was dating his best friend. His best friend suggested a threesome- one bottle of Bacardi (apologies for swearing, but I was young & naive!) later....job done.
I was 5 and he was 6........bang bang (actually he was 8, but he still shoots me down from time to time wink )

I met J through a blind date arranged by my dad with this northern girl working down here in the SW and who was feeling a little homesick. It was a little odd though as my dad was knocking off J's landlady at the time, very strange. The first night I met J I loved her and that knew the most important thing in my life was to share it with her. I have been and continue being the most fortunate of men. I always look forward to tomorrow because I know that I'll love her that little bit more too.
Met mr Joy via the CB radio (pre-internet days)chatted for ages we both had a relationship of sorts happening but i was a sweet 18 at the time anyhow after some time we decided to meet up or "eyball" as it was called. A week after meeting i told a friend this is the guy i am gonna marry and bugger me i did that was bk in 83 ..................god i am feelin old now lol, but hes the best, who says marriage dont last.
I was out with my mate, he was out with his mate and the two mates fancied each other so we just got chatting in Brannigans Nightclub one Saturday then he turned up at my works the following Monday smile
Been together almost 13 years and married almost 10 :)
He proposed to me on one knee in said nightclub, mic in hand on the stage  didn't dare say no in front of so many people LMAO.
Our mates never did hit it off!
at school...he was 14 , i was 13, we used to walk to and from school and he was the 'mate; i loved to hate...thought he was a pillock......
12 months later he came round to tell my mum( who was mates with his parents) that his dad had died suddenly at the age of 46....i said, cos i felt i had to..."if ever you need to talk, you can come round" he came the next night.....a week later we were going out and a week after that he proposed (I was 14 and him 15) and told my mum and dad he was gonna marry me........ which they laughed like drains at lol
He proposed for real when I was 16, we got married 5 years later and are still married 16 years on.......

Well Mr 777, you told me to push the boundaries, simple as that!
Ours isn't so time served as the rest of you at 6 months so here goes...
T was a regular in the chat room of the radio station I was DJing on at the time, ( ).
She was chatting to the regulars there about having been dumped, I played a Linkin Park track for her and we started chatting via PM, then MSN, then by phone and finally after a few weeks I went down to London to meet her. We got on really well and decided to see where it went from there.
That was a mere 6 months back and things are looking good so we'll see how it goes.
Hey good luck to you 665-667, everyone starts somewhere and there's some real long term love stories on here, which is lovely to hear.
