Before the last couple of weeks I have been listening to the news regarding Russia, Georgia and North and South Ossetia. Now it does embarrass me to a small degree that before this last couple of weeks I'd never heard of Ossetia. No doubt there are lots of other places I've not heard of and when I hear about these places on the news i feel as if I should. I have a feeling that the people of these places would undoubtedly of heard the words England/UK/Great Britain.
What i do find vaguely amusing is the same news presenters that were pronouncing this place as South O-say-she-a have changed to pronouncing it as South O-set-ee-a. Its all a learning curve i guess.
These countries are part of the former USSR I think and covers a huge area, so I am sure you can be forgiven for not knowning every country that exsists as there are an awful lot more now then when we were kids at school......xx
I don't forgive him. He should have a map book out and learn every new country that has been formed up to present day.
I will give him a test at 8 o'clock and if he does not get a 100% pass rate I will strip him naked and throw him to the girls of the forum lol

Yeah - it's got to be time for elevenses!
I am just happy to see things are winding down now, I had this vision of world war 4 starting..
The last time we got into a war Russian states it all went wrong...and Belarus still got swallowed. I think that was one reason the Russians never trusted the West.
