for a couple of hours every month, i keep it in my bank. then along comes the mortgage, car loan, gas bill, leccy bill etc.... and by the end of the day, its almost all gone. Anything left is thrown at regular intervals to a high street supermarket in an effort to stop my trousers from slipping down.
My bank account has a monthly heartbeat. It looks like this.
_________/\___________/\___________/\_______ etc
I get to see it for about 3 days. Sometimes I go to the autobank for a balance just to see the money.
So, no I don't worry about what will happen to my money in the bank. I can't see anything happening that would result in me seeing LESS of it.

Lively Lady - Marks Tey at 14/1 it is what is know as a racing certainty.
I would invest money in the following of at least the next 12mths as I think that these following firms will not be affected by the present global economic crisis.
At this present time, I have no money but it if did....
1.

The Bank of England & British Government are looking after it at the moment. Also they twom mentioned bodies will make sure that Northern Rock is safe as if it fails under their protection it proves that they CANNOT do their job.
So we shall end up like Iceland...
According to the following on Northern Rock's website:
I'm a new customer. Are my deposits covered by the guarantee?
This is the reply:
'Yes. The Bank of England and HM Treasury guarantee arrangements cover all deposits, regardless of the amount deposited, and apply to all existing and new accounts, as well as to further interest payments. The guarantee arrangements will remain in place during the period of temporary public ownership and, as previously confirmed by the Government, such arrangements would not be withdrawn without at least three months notice in any event'.
So that's my financial tips.
Hope they are of some use.... confused:
From,
Wunderhorse.
I would trust Santander as it owns Abbey National and also just bought out the latest British Bank failure so they must be pretty sound.

the milky bars are on me lol
Lets assume u have less than £50,000 and u just want to put it in a bank account. As long as its a UK bank it doesn't really matter which one or ones u choose. Spread it around a bit if u r ultra cautious stick it in one if u want the highest possible interest.
If u are prepared to take a risk for a high return over a year or two bang it in bank shares.
Oh how this will come back to haunt me one day.

wonder if they thought the same in Iceland.
Incidentally the £37bil Gord's going to inject into the banking system he doesn't have so he's going to have to borrow it ...I wonder where from ...the banks don't have any

The game is to start the money moving again.
....and as I said 'safe as houses', and the housing market is dropping like a stone.
here is a tip I heard from one of my "friends"
if anyone is unsure....... at the moment it might be a wise idea to open a post office bank account....
they are underwrited by Allied Irish Bank (AIB)
the Irish Government are insuring all amounts regardless of how much (much to the annoyance of gordon brown)
hope that helps........
