Where does the time go?

Following on from Postie's Interesting Thread.
Now I've found this site I can't get off it. confused

Are you like me and end up sitting for hours on the forum or is it just me being sad?
I look at the clock and I've lost the last two hours!
I sometimes actually have to use the pc for work :shock: and I'm adamant I'll ration myself and give myself just a little while on the forum. I'll just have a quick look and hey presto......time to go to bed again!
Damn these interesting people and their lovely insights!
Help,I think I'm an SH junkie!

I pop in the cafe for five minutes, next thing i know its taken me two hours to go through all the threads since I was last in. Do I then turn the PC off and go and do something else? Nope, I sit around, refreshing the forum page until there is a new post to read or add to. redface

I think SH is beginning to have an adverse effect to my sex life rather than enhance it, I'm spending all my time here rather than in bed with my other half!!!! :shock:

I do exactly the same. During a break from work today (3 1/2 hours), I came home, logged on, just for a quick look at the forum, next thing I know its time to go back to work. I reckon there must be some kind of time vortex thingy dunno

Definately lose track of time on here. Have been sitting here for about 2 hours,(after being online all afternoon) replied a couple of times on threads, sent about a dozen pm's and now it's way past the point I said to myself i would be in bed for.
By the time I get off of here i know it'll be way too late again... and then when i wake up, I'll log on for 5 minutes ( which is about the only time i ever do spend 5 mins on here) just to "check things out" before i go to work.... yet another SH addict.

I've got to go abroad for a week long course next (if my leave is granted). I'm really starting to panic as I won't have access to a PC for SIX WHOLE DAYS!!!!! What on earth am i going to do?

And this happens too.... you sit there thinking about making a coffee as you're gasping for a brew. About half an hour later you drag your self away and you rush back to the computer after you have made it.
The next thing you know.... you have a stone cold coffee sitting there... and another hour has slipped away.
And you are still gagging for a coffee, but you just know it'll be another half hour until you run off to the kitchen again....

Oh it gets worse....much worse!
When you do get up for that coffee, you have to let your knees know in advance as they have been in the same position for ages and refuse to move. ( that might just be me having worn out postie knees though)
And you've put some music on... but can't remember hearing any of it, nor when it finished...
and becoming really proficient in doing 3 things at once, to save some time and get back online more quickly... filling the kettle as you get the cup and open the coffee jar... then feeding the cat and other jobs you have put off doing...
Worse though is writing posts in your head, when you aren't online, and legging it home just to post on something...

Postie and Plymstock ... you both got to get organised like me .. you get someone else in the house to make you the coffee/tea and bring it to you on a regular basis then you never have to get off the PC .. well until your bladders bursting rotflmao
