Which do you prefer ???

Well another christmas based question for you.
Tis the season to be jolly biggrin

:D:D:D:D:D,
Roll out the brandy and mince pies.
So my question for you is: Do you prefer shop brought or homemade mince pies?
Or maybe you don't like mince pies at all?

Homemade- mainly because of the smell...
although it has to be said that despite being a pretty good cook, I am crap at pastry.

Not had home made for so may years but I'll go with home made anyway. The reason being when I was a wee lad I had a great auntie who was like 85 when I was little. She would vist my Dad at weekends once a month and always brought home made apple pies, mince pies and jam and lemon tarts. They tasted great but due to her increasing age they were the wonkiest things I have ever seen lol

I'll never forget the smell that came from the tins they were all in, ummmmmmm.

think i may have to do some test runs though our cooker isn't the best it likes to charcoal everything think the thermostat is broken and i'm sure i'll enjoy eating all the test runs lol

getting excited now not had a good ole baking session since the kids were little

mr b's mum used to burn dinner so regularly that even now if he hears a smoke detector he shouts "dinners ready" lol
