Right, I've read lots of whinges that the forums are getting a bit stale, and lacking "new blood". Well, my blood is fairly new (forum-wise) and I've checked the forum rules and this topic appears to be allowable. I don't follow any particular religion, but I reckon that the Hindu god, Kali could kick all other gods butts - what do you guys think? Slurpy xxx ps do you think I'm trying to stir a bit?!!!

hasn't Kali got 3 pairs of arms? I'm sorry but Homer Simpson is a god in my eyes and he wins, hands down!
its all down to personal belief and there are lots of cross overs of gods, roman and greek for starters. i think some of the earth religions have it right, dont worship one god, the earth herself is one but then i would cos i am one
How about Bacchus, also known as, Dionysus. A quote from wikipiedia says 'He was also known as the Liberator (Eleutherios), freeing one from one's normal self, by madness, ecstasy, or wine' Sounds fun to me
I'm gonna nominate the God of Jean Seams Oooh 8-) that feeling when on a long drive and the God of Jean Seams has rewarded me by giving me the perfect seam for driving - and I've got that jean seam sat just right 8-) 8-) 8-) Even better if, when on said drive with the God of Jean Seams, with the seam sat right, gentle vibrations of the car, and we meet up with the God of Cattle Grids  8-) 8-)

Now combine those both with the god of intimate piercings
Well, we need to sort this our Harry Hill style... "FIGHT" Hmm that would make an excellent computer game, lots of Gods fighting it out, although it would offend rather a lot of people. Perhaps Salmon Rushdie could do the advert.
The best God is Inti as the Incas called it, or Ra as the ancient Egyptians used to know it. Imagine without the Sun we're all fucked and there would be no Pradas, labradors, dogs, Homer, Jean Seams, atheists, Kali, etc... sweet FA basically. So we'd better start praying to the Sun God to keep us alive for a few million years more.

Well apparently the name Denis stems from Dionysus, and the quote from wikipedia just about sums up a normal saturday night out for me! Dionysus wins easy!!!!
I don't think religion is discussed much on here, but for my input really don't get me started!.. I'm a catholic and a lapsed one at that. The whys and wherefores I'll not go into but let's just say hypocrits come to mind. So no I have no views on God
Gods only 'exist' because people believe in them. So if humans have created their own gods then they can destroy them. So who is the more poowerful? An independantly minded person :D
Someone much wiser than I suggested that it doesn't really matter whether there is or isn't a God. If there is one, she can look after herself. Our job is to look after each other.
Some really excellent answers here - some daft, some quite profound. Imo, most religions these days are just bastardized corruptions of what they were originally intended to accomplish ie a control over the populace, based on the "do what we say and you'll be rewarded in the afterlife" or the "don't do what we say and you'll be punished". My game plan is a life of vice, then a last minute death-bed repentance. On the subject of Homer Simpson as a god I quite agree - in a few thousand years time humans may be taking the blood of homer (Duff beer) and breaking a doughnut! Can anyone tell me why the Pagan Alliance are so pissed at the Cerne Abbas thingy?? Slurpy xxx
