mrs c has had this cold last 4 days and she struggled through, i've done the shopping and some cooking but not gave her any sympathy, alas now i've caught it i'm feeling quite bad and just wanna sleep it off, and she does make a better nurse than I. so are wifes better at being nurses than us guys?

I don't do nursing anyone - if they're fit enough to moan/whinge, they ain't that sick!
When im i'll i'd just sooner be left alone.
I hate people seeing me ill and staring helpless at me, more so when my crohns was bad a year and a half ago i got really grouchy and sharp when people kept asking if i was allright.
I know they were worried and meant well but they just kept asking over and over again.
So im probably make a decent patient as i just sit there and say nowt and grin and bear it.
Apart from mild aches i do moan a lot if say my legs ache.

uch: It's not really that women make better nurses per se, it's that men are crap patients. We have all heard of the 'man flu' and just imagine if men had periods - the country would grind to a halt!
My ex boyfriend used to get very little sympathy from me, if I had a head cold he would give me the 'chin up stop whining' attitude. But when he caught it some time later of course he would be practically dying and expecting to be waited on.

As for myself I do everything the doctor DIDN'T order, won't sit down and rest, won't get out of anyones way and get really really grumpy if people try to help and hover over me. :lol:
