Why are some people more sexual than others ???

First thread, well sexual one in rather a long time, and not really sure why it suddenely popped in my head but...
Why are some people far more sexual than others, male or female. I know its probable a strange thing to say but there are plenty of men out there that are not that interested in sex.
I think its a fact that the more you have sex the more you want it, but that does not explain why some people have big appetites and others can quite happly not have sex for for weeks or months.

Well, someone had to keep an eye on the cattle, so the human race produced people with varying or permanently low sex drives - or we would all have starved to death.

My late hubby and I were brought up to think sex was dirty... and also having health problems didn't help... we didn't have any "relations" for the last 10 years approx may be more, of our marriage.
My other half has ahem "let the KITTY out of the bag" and poor man doesn't know what hit him... he still has to keep pinching himself...
With us, it was down to upbringing I think.

For me, I've found I'm getting more rampant as I get older :twisted: I'm more sexual aware and open since reaching my 40s than I ever was in my 20s and 30s. I've found a lot of older people also exude sexuality because they seem to have less hang ups about it.
Could explain why so many younger guys go for older women too wink

That goes for my vanilla date tomorrow who's a lot younger than me ( but so HOT! :twisted: )

I have quite a high sex drive, always have done. Our norm is 2-3 times a week but after a meet that normally doubles! :grin: In between I quite often 'lady wank' lol

Maybe I have an extra bit of that hormone inducing hornyness? sometimes I feel like it must get on Jay's tripe but I just can't help myself.

Why are some folks fatter than others?
Why do some people drink more alcohol than others?
Why do some people take drugs and others don't bother?
Why do more people paint than draw?
Why do more people from minority groups vote Labour?
How long exactly is a piece of string?
Does God exist?

sometimes I think it can also be a state of mind.
I recently posted in another thread about this so wont bore you with the story again, (in case de sade comments on it :wink)suffice to say, once I didnt think I was or could be sexy...something happened to change that and now I feel sexy in my mind....so that converts to outward sexuality, confidence and a whole new outlook on my sex life biggrin

I think one of the major factors is the more you have the more you want one.
I was sleeping with a guy who notoriously had a "take it or leave it" attitude to sex. He'd turned down approaches from some stunningly beautiful women because he felt they were approaching him for the wrong reasons.
However, once we started sleeping together he became more & more keen- to a point where by the end of my last stay with him he almost made me miss my coach home in a desperate scramble for one last session.
Depression is also a major issue with a lot of people who lack drive.

sorry i fully intened to par-take in this thread when i started it but work went silly in the last few days.
yes hormones play a part in it, but i wonder how much upbringing does to. As has been said religion seems to play a big part, but i wonder how much not being told about the facts of life play, or how dirty it is from your parents point of view.

Erm... guess there are loads of reasons. I think I have a pretty average sex drive and then I chat with people and they reckon I have a really high one... guess it is all about what you are happy and comfortable with. If you are not that into sex and happy with that, then cool. If you are very sexual and in a relationship with someone who isn't, that must be difficult.
I'm waffling so I'll shut up - in essence, I think you have to find a happy medium that suits you and think to hell with what level of 'drive' you think you ought to have.
