Why bother replying to ads, they never get answered anyway?!

hi sorry to sound bitter,rude or angry im not just puzzled and amazed . certain people here post there ads requesting you to get in touch with pics,phone numbers ect ect you then go to the effort of not only reading and replying to there ad but complying to there demands for pics ect ect and then nothing happens not even a reply to say thanks but no thanks surely im not the only one who this is happening to .
so basically a reply to say thanks but no thanks takes only a minute to write as we have took the time and effort to read and reply to your ad and have done everything you requested by sending pics ect ...
i think its very very rude ....................
P.S im sure most of you reading this are geniune and honest people

Hi. Sorry to hear you're having a bad time. This subject has been discussed many times on this forum before, and you really are preaching to the converted about this. Everyone who contributes to this forum is genuine, and I think we all agree that single guys do get a bum deal with the ads thing. Not a lot can be done, I'm afraid, as there are many more single guys than there are women (either single women or couples). You're right in that a reply to say "thanks but no thanks" is polite, and some people make a point of doing this. Sometimes however, (especially if it is single fems you are writing too, as they get shit loads of replies) it is impossible to reply to everyone.
Hang in there, make your replies polite, honest and informative. Have a read of Heather's advice to single guys in the Advice section, and good luck! lol

thanks blue its just frustrating thats all , i can imagine alot of people get alot of replies and its hard to reply to them all i understand that i will be more patient

I can understand your frustration but to give you an idea we posted an Ad recently. For dogging and got 50 emails over the next few days. we can not possibly reply to them all and work too!!
I now use the forum as much as anything to arrange things

I've replied to a few ads but only ever had a reply off one said thanks but no thanks but its still better than nothing!This person regularly uses this forum but I won't name them here,they know who they are and I take my hat off to them I don't even bother replying to ads now because I get a much better response in the forum! biggrin

I t is my new years resolution to reply to all emails! How long it will take me is another matter though.

I have only replied to one advert so far and didnt get a reply (as yet).
I think I will just try to get to know people in the forum rather than reply to ads or post my own - I am open to offers however, needless to say. smile

This forum is a fun place to be, and maybe when people get to know me I may even get an offer or two out of the blue without asking - hope springs eternal. And if not then no worries, I will have made some friends and thats what its all about, sharing and enjoying life.

But I await the results of the Newbie forum that Mark has opened with baited breath ( and trouser bulge!!)

I think you are right. I decided to un lurk and chat and get a feel for things before messing around with ads. Besides, girlfriend and I still have to decide how we want to pursue this - eg, clubs, small parties, ads, meeting individuals/couples, taking up random offers, etc, etc. So at the moment I couldn't say whether we would look next at ads or the meet up forum, or what we would say there.
As for low reply rates, is this really very different from similar ads in other walks of life? Only a very small proportion of people who read an ad will reply to it, and if you get an unwanted reply to an ad, ignoring it is the easiest thing to do.

Possibly guilty on that front. However, I've had 456 and (counting) emails in the last week, plus a mobile that never stops!!!
I work full time, plus a family, like to visit swinging clubs and a lovely bloke whos cock needs sucking on a regular basis.......give me chance!!!

we placed an ad and only got two replies one to say yes the other never got back. But we hope the one tthat did get back will encrease our cicle of friends. We will be meeting again soon hopefully for some good adult fun biggrin
