I know I'm not alone in finding it really annoying when you take the time to mail someone and they cant be bothered to reply. If they are bothered to read mail why not reply with a message or a simple thanks but no thanks! i have seen others add in their profile about this and i don't understand why it is, to me its just courteous to reply. thinks i wonder if anyone will post a reply to this? what do you think?

Because they're snowed under by uninvited mail? Because sometimes if you say 'thanks but no thanks', some people answer back quite rudely? Because they think it's kinder to say nothing? Welcome to the forum, even though your first post is a whinge.
I reply when I can be bothered. Most times I can't be bothered. I wonder why people send me mails when I don't know or like them and then expect a reply....… there must. Be something wrong with them surely? I am glad that it is my membership fee that I am paying as if the sender of unsolicited pm's paid it I would feel obliged to reply to them. Because it is my money I can do whatever I like. Goody. Am off to ignore anyone I see fit to.

Well maybe you should stop sending out emails for a while, go and chat in chatrooms and the forums and get to socials. That way people know who you are and conversations start rather than can I meet you straight away. You get out of life the same amount of effort you put in.
dont get me wrong i can understand if its a "wanna fuck" or some other poor attemt at introduction but im talking about a genuine message. also the chat rooms here are very fast compered to others and friends on other sites dont use this noe because of that. i do go in the chat rooms but have found people change rooms before you can post to them so obviously sending a proper message is the answer, well i thought so anyway.

Some people would find it difficult to say no and leave themselves open to 'why not' kind of mails thereafter. Bottom line is, if they don't want to answer they don't have to - it's not a requirement whether you think it's rude or not. Deal with it and move on. If they are that rude, you surely wouldn't want to associate with them anyway, so why worry about it? And no, I wouldn't reply if I wasn't interested.

Oh Smooth you keep mentioning other sites. Comparing sites doesn't really work. Each has its ways of working and thats why there are so many. You have a great pic on your profile and you are up front about being married but you are after a select group of women who are looking for an attached single man. Good luck in your quest but you wont like me be everyones cup of tea.

kaz n kev it is much easier when you know people in chat as you can consentrate on them and they will look for your post. i on the other hand dont know anyone and my 1 fingure typing usually means theyve gone before i can post. lol

M8? Regardless of how good looking they are, it doesn't mean they have to answer every mail. I didn't mean move on from the topic, I meant move on as in, pass those people by - pointless worrying when there are so many other people on site. You might not get a lot of discussion - or people will say the same things they have said when this topic has been discussed lots of times before. Good luck!

So many reasons people (I) don't always reply -Can't be arsed with yet another random email -Only popped on to say hi to someone, don't have time and forget after -When you reply and say no thanks some people get cranky and a 10 point reason why not -They don't fit criteria and if they cant read my profile or respect what I am looking for I wouldn't want to meet them - Because mom always said if you cant say anything nice dont say anything at all I could do on ..... Everyone has a reason / excuse. I think maybe your having a stroke of bad luck if you not getting any replies or your emailing the wrong people - But quite frankly if you think its rude not to reply then you probably wouldn't have like them anyway !

flower some people dont like forums some dont like chatrooms so the only option left is mail. personaly i always read and only ever reply to profiles / ads i fit. this however doesnt seem to make any difference. i would agree entirely if you dont fit dont mail! ill just have to keep trying

I get a couple of messages a day, it's not that I'm snowed under with mail and can't respond to them all but my profile says that I'm not meeting and therefore not to message me. If people can't be bothered to read that, why should I be bothered to read their message let alone respond to it?
