ok just a quick question we've lurked for a while and it's been interesting to see and read everything.. Been lucky with the contacts we've had although nothings come off but no nutters either..
Then today we put up and add for a filmer on Monday as the guy that was going to do it cant make it ( all very genuine ) and then you get people mailing you just telling you to "piss off" and "wankers"... what's all that about ???

What email address are you using for the photo ads?? It's just that you appear to be BANNED from the system.

Prompted by this thread, I've just gone and looked at what I assume, from the description, is your ad.
My honest opinion?
I don't see the point of people sending derogatory emails to someone who hasn't had a go at them personally, but having read the ad you do come across to me as rather stuck up, so while I think the emails are pretty stupid, I understand their motivation.
Surely the purpose of an ad is to make people feel good about you and want to spend time with you? Yours doesn't do that, it implies contempt aforethought for people you haven't even met yet, and I can't really imagine anyone with any self-respect responding favourably. This is not intended as a character judgement, it is just the message I personally perceived from the way the ad was worded. In a nutshell, it rubbed me up the wrong way.

Well, I found the ads. Deleted them and banned the account. Just to save you the bother of writing to complain or whinge here's my reasons:
banned and deleted;
a) are posting a previously banned email addres
b) are only asking for a 'filmer' with no contact
c) they've posted the email address of a bloke they said is sending them abusive emails
d)they're complaining in the forum about getting abusive emails since posting this ad! 02/03
Also this account is now deactivated too. The proper process to get unbanned is to use the proper system (see AUP) NOT to do what you did - post against the site AUP and then post in the forum complaining.
