Hi I'm just curious at to why that topic was locked ?
I've looked at the AUP, terms and conditions and even the privacy policy but i can't see a reason why. Can someone point out where the breach is please ?
The post was supposedly locked
'as we do any other thread for a non member or anyone who cannot actually answer back'
But plenty of threads mention non members is it not normally only those requesting meets for non members that get locked. Add to that the fact that Try2 is still a member even if it just a free account.
This topic did not seem to request any reply from try2 so his in ability to reply seems irrelvent.
Just curious
confused:
Just went into the lets meet up forum and there was another locked Cov social thread.
The Lets meet up thread was locked because of the existing thread in the cafe so people were being directed to leave feedback on the Xmas Cov Social thread ?
The thread that was then locked as well ???
maybe an answer of admin would be appropriate cos still cant understand the reasoning of the mods on this one
Maybe its coz its not Christmas yet??? :giggle:

I am a bit bemused by it all too. The "thank you" threads are not just a thank you to the host but also to the people who help to make the night a good one.
The second post that didn't mention the host was also locked without any explanation. If any rule was broken or the thread was out of hand then i can understand the thread being locked.
I fear the "locking" of this has become a personal issue and not one that controls the good nature of the forum .. maybe someone would like to explain ?
Seems to me that Try2 has fallen out of favour and anything to do with him is banned, bit petty really innit?

It explains what we all know, Try2 is now a free member who arranged the social before his membership ran out. We are requesting why a thread that thanks not just Try2, but also our friends for sharing what was a good night, has been locked. As Max has pointed out we do not expect Try2 to respond and the thread is meant as a thank you to those that helped make the social successful.

Yes it does, Try2 is a free member and therefore cannot post or be associated with the holding of a suggest you get your facts right or keep off the sherry LOL

That's a little harsh peanut!!.... The Mod's and OP's have a hard enough job without comments like that
Try is still a member of SH, he still has access to the forum so why shouldn't people be able to post their thanks for him to read!
Bloody hell I can feel a trip to the steam room coming on.
The thank you thread is not just for Try2 !!!!!!!!!

Thanks confused
The reason the other thread was locked is stated in the post. The person you are wanting to thank is no longer able to post on the forums, so he will not be able to answer any of your posts. The same rules which are used for anyone who posts on behalf of someone who is a none member have been applied to this thread.
And I will now lock this one, as we dont need posts asking about why posts have been locked. If you have a problem, my inbox is that way <<<<<<<<<
