Its got quite a sweetish flavour, was was decribed once as alcoholic vimto. Be warned you can get very pissed on this stuff :giggle:

Champagne gets you pissed quickly as well. Why is it that bubbly does that?
.....The bubbles increase pressure in the stomach, this speeds the uptake of alcohol into the blood steam. You get pissed quicker.
Aaaah, does that count for all "fizzy" alco drinks ie., cider etc (not that I drink it) my friend regularly drinks Magners and is always p*ssed!
champagne has Alcohol by Volume (ABV) of around 12%
magners will be about 5%abv i think so in her/his cause it will be quantity lol

Yes but, it is a quick hit not a bigger hit with fizzy.

champagne is the biggest high as well as the lowest low, it dehidrates you which is why you have such a big hangover.
I'm having my own mini wine tasting session tonight....it's between a domaine le fort sauvignon blanc and a domaine des tremieres chardonay........and stangely for me I think I actually prefer the chardonay which has surprised me as I didn't think I would.
ohh hark at me talking about wine........... lol

french sauvignon can be quite sharp especially on its own so maybe thats why you prefered the chardonnay, european wines are made to go with food where as southern hemisphere wines are made for glugging, hmmm australian piss heads  :giggle:

You called it a spirit yet you can class it as a wine and a beer as well

its alcohol content is higher than beer or wine is allowed to be so its classed as a spirit, even though its more in line as a fortified wine.
getting technical now sorry

cant say i really want to

Good, so that's an end to that one then?
Think we can leave the wine stuff to UKwineman then.
Tonight I am looking at a bottle of Mitchelton Shiraz debating whether to open it and drink it or not. Such lovely stuff!

ahh had mitchelton before but not the shiraz it was the viognier. open you know you want to, is a vintage or just bought. if its just bought you will have keep it for over a year to make any difference

I've had a few Mitchelton's (Preese especially) but they are getting more difficult to source and I'm relucant to dispose of this one in a hasty fashion.
I have a friend (or rather the son of a friend) who has bottled a wine down under which bears his name. Now that's what I call success!
Mind you, I still have a bottle of Swinging Heaven Merlot, courtesy of BBD from about 3 years ago which I'm sure won't have aged well!

Well, as self-styled queen of cheap pink fizz i would suggest you try the own brands of Morrisons, M&S and Sainsburys.
