Winks !! Good or Bad

What do you think of the new system of sending some one a wink if you like their profile.
We tend not to read them now and just delete, If people can not take the time and trouble to write a few words to you, why should we take the time to read there wink message to us or check out there profile.
Does it just help the desperate who send to every one in the hope some one will reply or is it to help cut out the one line, three or four word pm's.
What do you think of winks.
