Which are u?
Colourful on skis or playful on a board?
I'm a boarder...
Neither, I'm too clumsy and would be bound to have an accident! lol
However I've always wanted to try snowboarding.
I'm a walking around in the slush complaining about the fact we used to have proper winters when I was a kid. Not like now with this climate change/global warming nonsense. Why can't we get enough snow to build a snowman or to block the roads so I can't go to work and stay at home in front of the fire or walking in the woods sort of person. dunno
Ski - Yes (Teaching my daughter to Ski as well)
Snowboard - Yes
As the advert says "Just do it"
Kiss - Try boarding, on a snow slope (not dry slope) as the training methods are much improved from when the sport started.
I was a skier many moons ago, now I'm a walking in the snow making snowmen having snowball fights type of person :lol2:
Skier or blader, never tried boarding but would love to- was supposed to learn when we went to Bulgaria in January, but there wasn't any snow!
It was the warmest winter ever- one day it was 20 degrees, it's normally -20 there!
We did get a day and a half skiing, but I didn't think it would be enough to make a tit of myself on a board and actually be able to see the mountain rather than the nursery slope, so we stuck to skiing!
Den has never done either- he's scared of heights and has the worst balance and flexibility ever, I don't think he'd enjoy it!
xxx
Hmmm, I don't do much involving balance because I'm not very good at that still lol
However, I do like to be the first one out in the garden/street when there's been a fresh fall of snow and it's all lovely and smooth and crunchy. Sometimes I slide/fall down - does that count as snow sports?

I'm not sure, but I know what else counts as a snow 'sport'....
Skiier- albeit badly! Im a much better shagger though!
Snowballer...... colourful in language only
I've played snow angels. Does that count? biggrin
Not tried either, but would love to learn to ski if I have the balance. Not sure if I can though as I have problems with one of my ears sad
I've never had the opportunity totry either.... though have to admit... that snowboarding lark does look pretty damned exciting!
and the *alpine* skiing, I think its called, in the Winter Olympics appeals... long distance skiing through the woods and all that. Not sure whether or not I'd carry a rifle though, too tempting to take potshots at passers-by
I havent read the entire thread...
but: has anyone been lucky enough to sled with dogs?
not me, but again, I'd like to!
lp
Skier ...sort of
Only ever went once many snowflakes ago.
Best holiday I ever had.
Such breathtaking scenery
Life time memory of the setting sun turning the white wall of mountains that faced my balcony into the most awe inspiring natural golden radiance.
