I have to say that these things can happen innocently!
We parked our car in the car park of a church in the middle of nowhere in Dordogneshire last year on a slight slope whilst we got out of the car to have a look at the fantastic panoramic view after setting the handbrake (I did it, not V!).
later, we heard a little "twang", thought no more of it until we saw the car rolling towards the viewing platform at the end of which, with a flimsy barrier (true French style), was a 200 foot drop!!
If it wasn't for the cast iron seats, we would have been exercising some interesting French explanatory conversation with the local Gendarme and trying to make ourselves understood with the local garage requesting vehicle recovery!
I truly sympathise with the dear lady!!
