Help varies from area to area..... giving you my local information would be totally useless to you. I was lucky the small business adviser rents one of our offices so I managed to nab him unofficially.... wink

Plus Ive found other support networks like Local Art Co-operatives etc. which suits me as if fits into I want to do.
What I did find out is that they are other local organisations similar to this one (ours is called Brave) across the uk (when I see him I shall ask if he has a list of other agencies). They maybe help with training course, small grants to get equipment, start up grants. The majority of this depends on your age (more help for under 30's and over 50's Ive found), locality (if its a government regeneration area for example), where you want to base your business (if not from home)......
One site to perhaps to check out is the Local gov ones...... mine is Gov Office for the South West, if you visit the site theres a map so you can find which one is your local one!
Other really good one is the Regional Development Agency...(google for yours or you may find link from your Gov Office Site).
Info on Enterprise Agencies that gives help and support to a small businesses would be available from your local CAD office, give your RDA a call, or local Community Development Office...
Find local newletters/websites/ authority, a good source of commmunity information i.e. whats going on in your area, might be some useful information.

am in contact with them an to be honest there useless ok they will offer use free business reviews which is good but what we need is accsess to money to help grow the business cause at the present we are stuck in a perpetuating (i think thats how you spell it) circle
to those who are in business look at the MYOB business softwear as it looks the best value for money

Bacon plzzz .. no butty for me .. cant eat bread :-(
I work from home .. I run my own business making soft furnishings.
It gets a bit lonely at times but gives me time to log on here for a few mins when i get the urge lol
