), however, it does raise an interesting question. What are our views of prostitutes (which is a slightly different question from what do we think of prostitution in general).
I would have no problem scialising with an escort/prostitute, particularly at a munch. The important thing at such an occasion is who they are, not what they do. Does that mean that I would use a prostitute? Different question. My main problem with that is that many girls are co-erced into the profession and often kept there by a drug pushing pimp who knows that they are dependent on him and, therefore, cannot leave. I would have a real problem being part of that exploitation. If an independent girl (i.e. she does not have a pimp) decides that she has a body and personality that she can sell then that is entirely up to her. My judgement of her would be based entirely on what she is like as a person and how easy she is to talk to, not how she pays her mortgage.
I once had to endure a period of thirteen years of enforced celibacy. Believe me, at times using postitutes appeared very tempting. I was able to resist because I did not want to be part of the exploitation outlined above. However, often these girls are making money the only way they know how and are just trying to put clothes on their children's backs. Difficult to sit in judgement when you consider that!

Many of the clubs and events I have been to, have drawn in prostitutes looking for new customers. They are usually escort type girls who work independently. I think there was a T-shirt in the 70's by a group with the title "we are all prostitutes" I believe they were trying to say that we all sell ourselves in order to survive. I have no problem with prostitutes or any sex workers for that matter.I do have a problem with the people that exploit them such as pimps etc. We have all got to survivve somehow.
