S's works do tomorrow night . This year partners have been invited , as last year , so a few stories go , one or two things went on wink , and the management don't want a repeat , and think partners might be a bit of a deterant. Last year there was no way S would have got involved in anything untoward , but a years worth of visiting this site has certainly loosened her inhibitions and who knows . Certainly wetted my appeitite , and from not looking forward to going , all of a sudden all sorts of things are going though my mind. smile
My questions are , has anyone stories of goings on , or embarrassing moments that you've later regretted (or Not).
I fell over last year and sprained my ankle but didnt realise until I woke up the next morning next to the marketing manager!!!!! aghhhhhh
Very True Judy
I was working on a by pass just outside bristol and at the end of the job the company put up a free bar for us! In the end about 25 of us managed to clock up a bar bill of about !
Needless to say i got so plastered that when i went back to the caravan on site the main foreman of the site was staying that night with his fancy bit and ended up pickin me up and putting me back into my own caravan! (cos i was laid out cold in the middle of the caravan site!).
He wasnt impressed with my behaviour and when the job finished i wasnt asked to stay on!!
So be careful folks.
I generally avoid office parties for the reasons others have stated. I've never been in trouble at one myself but I have seen others treated extremely unfairly after them.
I'm all up for socialising with a few work mates, but not any kind of night out which involves bosses, etc.
edit: This lunchtime, our HR woman was trying to talk me round into going to our do this week. She kept badgering me as to why I wouldn't go so I just had to say "I have my reasons no matter how mysterious they may be!".

Yep hindsight is a great thing chief!!
I remember once slagging off my boss when i was pissed and called him an irish wanker (irish wanker was the only one I can remember!) Apparently I said much more than that!
hehe dont think he ever liked me again after that!
And he was an irish wanker!
Nothing even remotely risque, exciting or embarassing has ever happened at any office party I've been to. confused
