Hotels to pay guests 200 euro if Spain loses World Cup
A Benidorm Hotel chain has announced it will offer its guests 200 euros each if Spain does not win the World Cup.
Magic Costa Blanca says 'anyone who books a stay in one of its establishments will be entitled to the pay-out if 'La Roja' - or 'The Reds' - fail to take home the coveted trophy from South Africa.
The qualifying hotels are Magic Cristal Park, Magic Fenicia and Magic Villa, all in Benidorm.
Company vice-president, Javier Garcia, says "football fans in Spain are 'very pleased' with the team's performance up to now, since 'they have returned confidence in Spain' which has been largely diluted internationally as a result of the recession"
I know that when back home on the UK before the England games, you were lucky (or should that be unlucky) to get a free flag never mind some one having this much confidence in the national side.
Suffice to say, bet it would be a good marketing idea for any 'home' nation hotels to offer similar for the 2014 World Cup finals, plus based on past and current performance their money would be safe as well
Sadly think advertising slogans of 'score with England/Scotland/Wales/Northern Ireland' mifht be sadly misplaced
