Climb aboard the world's fastest rollercoaster. Be prepared to reach speeds of up to 240 km/h (149mph) and enjoy a feeling similar to a Formula One racing driver.
That is the hype from those behind Abu Dhabi's Ferrari World, the largest indoor theme park in the world, which opens on Wednesday.
The Formula Rossa rollercoaster boasts it will be the world's fastest roller coaster at a top speed of 240 kilometres per hour (150 mph). The ride will accelerate to its top speed within 4 seconds using a hydraulic launch system which is similar to that used on aircraft carriers. The roller coaster is over 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) in length, ranking it 5th in the world. Due to the high speeds and high occurrence of dust storms in Abu Dhabi, all riders will be required to wear protective glasses.

Would you give it a try if you could ?
I would be on it  Love Roller coasters. Looks like its mainly the thrill of the speed you will be getting. The track does not appear to do anything overly aggressive but then I guess thats as its not safe to loop the loop at those speeds lol The acceleration will be quite wicked too
Never been on one dunno
Been on one, and that was enough!
I loved roller coasters with a passion until Morbius dragged me on Goliath at Six Flags California.
It's mightily high, and I'm not generally bothered by heights, and quick. I came off white and very very shaky and since then, I can't ride them any more dunno
Pity because I had really wanted to do X but not anymore sad
I don't do rollercoasters. Kids ones are more than I can face. I don't have the brain chemistry for it.
It makes going to Alton Towers a comeplete waste of time and money - I'm the poor sap standing there, holding all the bags, trying not to even look at the terrifying site of rollercoaster cars flying overhead.
Love roller coasters been on all the big ones I have come by. Not keen on vertical drop ones  but I have been on them
