I don't normally post links to videos but this is so moving.
Words fail me. There is nothing I could ever say that would come close to describe this fathers love for his son.
Dave_Notts
ditto what dave said and anyone not touched by that imo must have a heart of stone
I remember reading the story of this exceptional father......now ive seen the video it brings it all the more to light...he is an amazing man and definitely the worlds strongest dad
 :upset: worship :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:
makes me totally ashamed to think that I have had it hard this week!
Thanks for that Cherry, it puts it all into perspective biggrin
we have a disabled son, who today as been made redundant from the remploy factory at at treforest(south wales) After coming off allowances because he wanted to work, and having been there 4 years , this fucking goverment kicked 90+ people out of work!
WANKERS!-WHY VOTE FOR THEM! mad
For the last 24 hours I've had a piece of grit in my eye which blew in while I was cycling home last night.(Seriously)
'S Gone now!
.
WOW......I'm speechless......but in a good, heartfelt kinda way smile
Wow !!
Does anyone else feel as humble as I do right now ....
Makes everything else in this world seem so insignificant doesnt it....
I'm not ashamed to admit I watched that with tears running down my face. A wonderfully touching piece of film. Thanks for sharing that with us Cherry kiss
I can only say what has said before and like Sassy watched with tears running down my face, I don't have a Dad any more and I am vwery jealous of people that do....
But I was totally humbled by such a beautiful video
Sam x
I'm a Dad, and I cried all the way through that!! smile :) :)
It seems to stay with you long after you've watched it.
In edit - is it just me, or does it affect you more the second or third time you watch it?
I've posted it another couple of forums I am a member of and wait to see if they are as humbled as I was when I watched it.
Normally I'm of the opinion that the written word is more expressive than visual interpretation.
But there are no words whatsoever that can come even close to expressing that clip, and even less words to express that bond between them that just oozes out the video.
It's captured beauty and love in its most raw form :inlove:
Wow.... thanks for posting that cherry, i just watched it for the 3rd time and still have tears running down my face! What that father has done for his son is undescribable and does make me think how lucky i am.. truly amazing when you read how many miles he was ran, cycled and even swam with his son! surprised

was still thinging about it in bed last night watched it again today - still made me sob
and how proud is the boy of his father
I found this news report to go along with this video, and if at all possible, its even more moving.
It gives the reasons and background behind the amazing acheievements and journey of Rick and Dick Hoyt.
Watch, and enjoy....and dont forget the tissues.
I watched it last night and was touched..thank you Cherry and I watched it just now with Bonediggers news item explaining the background and was awestruck. If we had a country being run by a team of men like the two Mr Hoyt's how far could we go.......

There is probably nothing that I can add, except to say that I have seen one or two of these type of clips on YouTube for which the World is richer.
Plim
Sometimes you see and hear things that make you feel ever so humble and these two people must do that to everyone they meet.
I don't normally post links to videos but this is so moving.

If only more people felt and acted like those two, then the world would be a much better place sad .

Am glad you did post it. What a Father...tugged at the heart strings that one!
Nice film that... everytime I see it, reminds me of my brother and wished that he'd had more family support/opportunites to do the thngs in life he wanted to.
Now I DO have a heart of stone but that was a cool little clip and shows you that the world doesn't JUST have selfish twats in it!!
