i often "fib" and say i enjoyed it more than i did just to protect feelings - i guess i hope things will sort themselves out. proberly the wrong thing to do but im so crap with words things come out all wrong and i sound like im putting them down when that wasnt the original intention
ooohhh yes I always tell a fib rather than hurt feelings, because to me, hurting someones feelings is really bad and if a fib can save their feelings then Im all for it!
i dunno.
Do you say things which go against what you feel just to protect someone else?.
We don't like it when lied to do we yet people are prepared to make up things to please others.
Stuff pleasing you are not happy it builds and builds inside until something is said and then you let out the built up frustration.
Then you are left with that horrible feeling of wishing you never said anything.
Speak up straight away if not earliest you talk about a problem the better it will be.
If you care about each other you will both want to talk about it without making it do difficult.
I have to say im past the point in my life tip-toeing around people today treat kindness as a weakness.
If i have something to say i just say em if they don't like if someone is rude to me or rude to me infront of others i blank them and never speak to them again.
Cold i maybe, but people take the piss to much now-a-days.
Whats the point in fibbing? If there is a problem within a relationship surely lying and saying everything is ok is just heading for bigger problems.
Personally, Id rather say what the problem is and get it sorted instead of 'pussyfooting' around the subject.
You sometimes have to be cruel to be kind
I belief honesty is the best policy, and at the end of the day are we not all adults who have the ablity to reason and discuss. If things are not right the quicker you sort them out the better they become. Yes it can hurt peoples feeling but leaving them to fester can cause major problems. We all can get defensive when questioned on our own abilties but you can reasure the person that it is a small issue that needs addressing and not the whole person. But this might be the reason I have been married 21 years. I cant hold back on how I feel, and have never faked an orgasim! normally this works and I am asked why.
Well,
I was married for along time to a lady I later discovered was "suffering" our sexual realtions because she had decid3ed she didnt want to have sex with men.
She was great actress and kept up the pretence for years.
I reckon honesty is all in a relationship.
Be4fore u teachers mock my spelling bear in mind some folk type with a stick on their forehead.
I think most people practise their ability to use and ignore coomon place lies, but are prepared to front up where and when they feel its right to admit the truth.
Of course you are expected to state what you consider to be the truth in court.
The truth does not always produce a satisfactory result, and in some cases can lead to a series of worsening consequences. Invariably people choose to avoid this.
Its often more about you; and how you feel than the actual details of what you wish to speak about. This is often a very selfish and inconsiderate situation to be in.
Some people can often produce a set of truthful utterances, but they are actually entirely useless in the circumstances to which they are being applied.
There's more to the truth in some cases than lies.
But to answer the question. Most people will lie, but inevitably fess up and spill the beans, when they have to. So that's what I tend to do.
