To summarise;
I posted the following here
Its better not to show genitalia on the forum as any minor could view it.

So I changed the aup to bring the posting of images in the forum in line with the rules for avatars, why they were different I've no idea but it was inconsistent so I changed the rules and I also stated my reasons why Here
Some members like the change some do not, the overall change to the site is pretty small, not many pictures of genitalia get posted in the forum anyway, the rule change does not make SH any less of an adult site to the members, since the changes there's probably more of each other to see, the only conclusions I've drawn from the 7 page debate is that it isn't the rule change thats annoyed people it was the fact that it wasn't announced correctly.
And Martin locked a thread about wank clubs.
Now we have a thread spanning 7 pages
And this bit;
What would I like to see 4T do ?
I’d like them to be one thing or the other.
Either butt out and let the Mods get on with moderating, and the community get on with having the fun we’ve had over the last couple of years; while they achieve their return on investment. Sit back, shut the fuck up, and take the money they’re owed.
OR
Join in properly with the bollox and banter of the place. I truly believe the half hearted attempt a couple of them have made is purely in response to members trying to include them, rather than them actually wanting to be part of the community.

I think for the most part we do let the mods get on with moderating and let the community get on with having fun, weve spent a lot of time making that possible most nights the chatrooms got a 1000 people doing just that.
Its a bit hard to shut the fuck up when people ask questions and if you read the original link above Here a question was asked, one of us gave an opinion (me) and made changes based upon what I'd read in here.
There are some more changes to the aup coming soon that we have discussed in the mods area to include guidance on what is acceptable for pic's uploaded to the site, they are pretty much the same as the notes in the photo upload area,.
As for joining in and talking bollox, for my part I've enjoyed every minute and I'm not about to stop talking bollox, if its only rated at half arsed at the moment, my apologies I'll see what I can pull out of the bag :twisted:
As a newbie here I appreciate that I may be sticking my neck out and talking a lot of crap but as I see it........it seems to me there does seem to be a definative lack of consultation/dialogue with the actual forum paricipants/contributors .
I guess this manifest itself in two main ways:-
1) Threads are locked without warning or consultation so people are not give the chance to challenge the decision or at least fire off a parting shot. This undermines the ethos of contributing into a community, I for one would be reluctant to post any jokes or humourous items after seeing how Italeo's contributions were treated.
2) Rules are being reviewd / changed without the forum users being involved in the change process resulting in changes being announced and implimented whether you like it or not, this again undermines any community ethos. Would it not be better to let people know upfront let them grumble and slowly appreciate the reality before making changes.
I guess the reality of the situation is that there is now two main types of users on the site, the newer chatroom users who are probably paying hard cash and have little knowledge of the history of the site, and the longer serving members who have over the years built the site up to what it is now as a community. Now the mangement have the task of trying to satisfy both user types, and as any sensible business should do, it needs to focus in increasing its service users and keep the majority of paying punters happy, possibly at the expense of the other users.

I've read the revised aup again and its on topic and as the squirrels are not being used in the photo ads they are ok as well, so whats the latest on Wrat's kittens?

While I would like to see that happen as well Dammie, I also realise that Admin are for the most part working (as in paid jobs) while they are logged in and dont really have that much time to join in with the banter.... Now obviously once they have implemented all the bells and whistles that they want to, things may change. biggrin

I have often wondered at the media's complete lack understanding of the term "hypocritical ".
So "sexual activity in any form" is wrong , along with everthing else which is newsworthy to the public ( that includes us btw) at large. That same public that "likes to see a naked girlie, read about sexual activity of famous people or any people, in as much detail (with pictures if poss, taken by some paparazzi who has clearly crossed the line about privicy ) and who wants some 0898 sex chat numbers or to get xxx rated porn or 1000 condoms cheap from the very same publication !
And TV ? ( yes the telly) Foul launguage, sex nudity, violence all ok! Inestigations about real people in sex , nudity,foul laguage, violence all roundly condemmned !
