Hi,
As you can tell from the TV and the large number of christmas lights about it town centre now, christmas is on its way. So it is time people will start thinking about those presents.
So in this to of recession what present would you love or hate to be unwrapping in a month and a bit's time?
I would hate to get anything reality tv related - dvd collection of X Factor or similar crap  but then my family and friends know better than to do that to me!
I love getting things which my family know I could use - son bought me a new earthenware mixing bowl last year, sounds dreadful but as I bake a lot I use it all the time so it was ideal. If I hint enough for a pasta maker this year, ya never know!
I'm just happy to spend time with my family on the day and don't bother much about getting presents - love buying them and giving to family and friends though biggrin
love to get hubby some cigars,,,n i think its the thought that counts,,but a winning lottery ticket would be nice,,,,
I would love to unwrap all nicely parcelld up
any one of many of the many lovely ladies on here xxxxxx who i have met and would love to meet wink
my biggest prezzie of all would be to unwrap the paper and find 2 lovely BBW together......
all for me for christmas ...HEAVEN
trav..
My kids are great - they always get me something I really love.... I have an inkling what I'm getting from my daughter this year, tho it is a guess only! A good one tho biggrin :D
I don't like getting things for the home... I like the personal things and if its handmade all the better :D
Hate: anything the giver felt duty bound, or struggled financially to buy.
Love: something that showed an insight into me, or something hand made/hard to find.
love a new bike
hate a coffin

Rushes to unpack the X Factor DVDs!..........
Only kidding lovely
Swaps em for handcuffs and chains :rascal:
that's more like my kinda pressie
I love getting factual books - preferably with loads of good quality pictures. It may be cookery/craft, scientific, historical anything. One year I got no books at all - wierd.
But the worst was one year I mentioned I was cutting down the goodies and I got NOT ONE SINGLE CHOCOLATE. I had to raid the advent calendar ffs!
Hate? Pink, fluffy things. Or anything that indicates the giver has grabbed the first thing they saw without thinking.
I do love getting garden vouchers - it keeps me dsicplined to spend them in the right place but gives me freedom to choose my own stuff. And they can add up to something big like a fruit tree.
This year I have asked for Amazon vouchers; I shall then pool them all to buy the box set of The Wire, arguably the best TV series of the past decade.
If I have any voucher left over, I shall buy books - I am a sucker for reference books for my job. I love them. I am a geek. cool
I would hate anything pink and fluffy or any book that is marketed as 'chick lit' Not me at all.
That said, I'd settle for all my family visiting my folks together - that won't happen this year, nor is it likely to again. I'd swap any pressies for that.
