What/Who would be on your perfect album, I was thinking about this at 3am this morning when it had eventually quietened down at work...Mine would include the following:
Kate Bush
Jeff Buckley
David Bowie
Neil Young
The Pixies
Radiohead
Coldplay - early stuff
Joy Division
The Smiths
Cocteau Twins
Pink Floyd
Probably think of tons more as soon as I press submit...
Jaine
Been done and the Swinging Heaven perfect album (disc 1) is actually in production - see the other thread about it - Carpathian is SH official Tony Blackburn-cum-Pete Waterman.

High praise Carpy - would you rather have been Noel Edmonds? Jimmy Saville? Ed Stewart? DLT?
Private poem was great...x x

Sorry ! (grovels quickly) You're right of course !
Actually, my record collection contains stuff by every artist on your list - you have great taste in music ! I have a Floyd DVD playing as we speak....
I'd not complain at any of those but maybe add some Cure, Siouxsie and Bauhaus ?
Seems we aren't ignoring you so you'd better come back !! wink
Carpathian, who'll read threads more carefully next time ! redface
Forgiven Carpathian.......but of course....
Actually again I was holding back on the 'real' music I love which includes Interpol, Cooper Temple Clause, Sisters Of Mercy & of course Bahaus....What happend to Mr Cheekbones Pete Murphy...remember the Maxell ad he was in??? Gorgeous...I always drive according to the music I am listening to so if it is Metallica/Nirvana or Soundgarden etc you had better get out of my way coz I aint stopping for anyone,,,however if it is Bob Dylan, Jeff or Neil then I shall be cruising & singing my little heart out - thank god for tinted windows..
Totally not on thread but you lot are superb, amazing & lovely & more than once you have bought a tear to my eyes & joy to my heart...thank you each & every one xxxx :P
Have I read your posting wrong??? Sorry - ... redface surprisedops:
Not sure...I should have read the other one first but what the hell...Sorry xx
Don't worry - it's probably my fault - you got for it. But there is a CD coming out based on the whole thread so Carpy will (AT SOME POINT) publish the final list...fuck, I think he might have already!!
*goes off to look at threads for list*

The Sisters - now you're talking ! Recently downloaded the Albert Hall gig as my VHS was getting so warn... {grin} As for Pete Murphy, he could cut things with those cheekbones, I'm sure of it !
Whisper it quietly but Buckleys "Hallelujah" made the final SH CD.....
Totally not on thread but you lot are superb, amazing & lovely & more than once you have bought a tear to my eyes & joy to my heart...thank you each & every one xxxx :P

Last thing to bring tears to my eyes was the piece of Jalapeno I'd missed when cooking tonight - I'm somewhat of a scarlet hue still.....
Nice to see that smile !
Carpy
I'm afraid the only two of the second list that I'm familiar with is the Sisters and Bauhaus. The string quartet version of Enter Sandman doesn't count. I do a bit better with the first lot.
I'd love to go to more gigs. I'd love to go to any gigs at all. The bands I want to hear tend to play in pubs, which isn't somewhere I feel comfortable in company. There's no chance on my own.
I have made a vow that when this spiffing new music centre is completed, I shall attend whatever is happening on as regular a basis as possible.

Not bad if you're going to pick two - what else would make *your* 3am CD then ?
(see Moist ! It's back on track to the original topic - knew it would in the end !)
Carpathian
My list depends so much on my mood.

Eels "Daisies of the Galaxy"
Godspeed You Black Emperor "Raise Your... CD 2, track 1"
Grant Lee Buffalo "Better for Us"

That's a small random selection of favourites.

It's her accent when she talks too - does strange things to me........
