being a Sunday and boiling hot in the garden me an rach were chatting shit as you do on such days and looking through all the exotic holiday brouchers at the trips we will never be able to afford......
anyway to cut a long story short we happened upon the idea of what would be our perfect day.....
if you could have 24 hrs and money was NO object what and how would you spend your time doing?? it does have to be realistic though, ie, you cant fly all over the world and do ALL the things you would love to do, just what you could do during a period of one full day, money being NO object ??........
At the moment,,, id like to go fishing with Jack Hargreaves.
Just sitting in the sunshine on the riverbank, chatting and listening.
Then off to the pub at lunchtime, chatting and listening.
Then back to the river, chatting and listening,,,,,,

Debs a pain in the neck
Lying on a beach made up of perfect white sand, crystal clear blue water lapping up at your feet, the shade of a palm tree an the perfect tropical cocktail, swimming in a sea full of fish, all around you, then the hot sun on your tanned skin, the scent of sun tan lotion in your nose, lazy, lazy days oooohhhh how much do I need a holiday I can taste it! :silly:
Spend it with that special person, just chilling and being............. :P
Hmmm.....
if money is no object.... I'd whack a shed-load of moolah behind the bar of my favourite pub (as it was before it went to shit and i refused to go in). Invite all my current friends, and anyone who i have EVER had a good time with. Invite all of the Japanese I know to fly over from Japan for the monster session and re-create the heydays of the Postie Language School.
And try and stay sober enough to enjoy it........
My perfect day would be spent with Trevor. passionkiss sillyassionkiss:
if money was no object as stipulated in the rules we would love to go in a submersible to the bottom of the atlantic and see the wreck of the titanic, just have a nose around and feel the atmosphere of the thing, if only, if only......

On Holiday with the one I love!!!
As nostalgia has well and truly kicked in now after replying to the childhood heroes thread, I would have to say that my perfect day would be walking through the fields at about this time of year with my grandad and my dog, just talking and walking.......
That's really sad, isn't it redface
I'd spend the whole day in my old university library going through copies of The Journal of Roman Studies, Classical Philology, Journal of Hellenic Studies, etc, etc, trying to see if there was an underlying cause for Roman expansion in the Near East in the 3rd and 2nd centuries B.C.E. Ahw.....thats my idea of heaven...
Whow... that is really sad!!! eh Blue?
Well, it would start with a session with my mates the night before but being able to wake up and deal with a hangover the way I used to be able to.
Driving down with G to meet our mates and hitting a pub, sitting out in the sunshine and shooting the breeze. You have to know our mates, they're the kind of folk that are truly laid back in every sense of the word, brilliant senses of humour and can make you laugh in the darkest of hours.
Then a spot of shopping, nothing too extreme, then back to ours for food, chat, drink and what ever else tickles our fancy taking you into the wee hours of the morning.
Well being as we only have a day, I would get up really early, send Pete to the farmers market to buy half a pig, get in loads of booze, some really good music, get all the coloured lights and candles ready on the patio, fire up the Turkish oven and the roasting pit, get Pete into his whites and cooking, (making sure we have plenty of scrummy veggie things too)
And then pay to have everyone from SH flown down here for the biggest bestest party there’s ever been.
Just think, fantastic weather, great food, loads of alcohol, and probably the most sociable bunch of people you could ever wish for………………..mmmmmmmmmmmm
