Your SH Routine

It struck me over the weekend that people actually interact with this site in very different ways.
Do you have a "routine" when logging on?
I think I do. Actually, I know I do.
I log on, check new mail via the 'My Mailbox' tab on the right and then I head straight to the forum via the tab at the top. If I am attending a Munch or Social in the immediate future, then I'll click into the 'Let's Meet Up' forum first to see if anyone has confirmed/cancelled/been added to list etc. I then head into 'The Cafe' and check out the new threads or any that have moved on since I last read them.
I rarely go into chat and spend most of my time between the forum and my mailbox. Sometimes I'll peruse the adverts or search profiles if I am looking for something in particular meet-wise.
Watching other folk navigate around the site, I am conscious that people use it in many different ways.
I may be sad, but it fascinates me.

I do similar...
here first, then mailbox, then here, then Cafe, then here. It's a bit of an OCD thing with me. ;-)

I alwayd leave any mail until both of us are here to read it together so we can have a laugh errmm i mean discuss it biggrin

Usually i go in forum first and kust look through the posts that I fancy slap myself just to make sure i'm in the real world. Off I then trot into chatworld, which at the moment is pissing me off a bit because my local room has gone well shite but hey they do that then a cpuple of months down the road they a e rocking again. I guess its probably opposite way round for some at the moment. This multi room occupation don't help mind. After indulging in chat I wander through forums once more.

My routine :
Log on. Go to Forum. Read.
Start to make a post. Stop. Re-read. Delete it. Make a new post. Stop. Delete it. Give up. Check a profile out. Get silly. Make a silly post. Log off and pretend to myself that I am going to do some work.
Repeat above at 30 minute - 1 hour intervals.
If I am fortunate enough to get mail (and now as a 4 week veteran, the invites to the Pussycat club have tailed off and the proposals of marriage have fallen dramatically) I tend to answer it immediately as I am all giddy and excited that people will talk to me, and I also hate appearing rude and not responding.

I think I'm also a bit OCD about my log on procedure!
1. Check mail and answer any (if I'm in demand!!)
2. Check forums for interesting threads that I may have something to add to (never been brave enough to post my own yet!!)
3. Check if anyone new may have added their name to any event I may be attending.
4. Into chat. Always start at 4 and work back to 1 where my regular room is!
In work mode I would call this my SH SOP (standard operating procedure!!)

I get summoned by an email alert telling me I have mail here. This is completely irresistible and on I come. I read, reply if time, browse the cafe, go, get summoned by email, return, etc.
I've ocasionally popped into Forum Chat and my rare visits there have been hilarious!

I log in. Check messages first. Then the Cafe unless I'm attending something advertised in LMU. Flit between mailbox and cafe, occasionally checking profiles from the 'who's online' bit.

That little manoeuvre was a revelation! :doh: I never check profiles - well, not with any routine/regularity anyway.

Yep I have a routine...
I go straight to forums read one and a half posts...phone rings with someone wanting to go the the Outer Hebrides or Timbuctoo.....and I have to log out sad

but today..I have managed to post!!!!....TWICE!!!!! smile

OK this is what I do;
logon, when I get a chance
check my mail box, nothing there again :cry:
pop into the cafe for coffee and a chat
never hit the chat rooms, I have not got the hang of them . Most likely because I never spend time there.
Then less often;
hit the vids and pics

i go straight to chatroom and log in, while that is opening I check out the forums cafe first then lets meet up then back into the chatrooms to wander, I dont bother to check mail cos it's that rare i get one :violin: the red flahing new mail sign is enough to point me in that direction

I have a whole new routine now. lol

Although I generally check mail first if the red envelope flashes. I don't often respond immediately but I generally respond at some point. Unless of course it's someone sending me something utterly filthy in which case they may muster an immediate reply! :rascal:
Then I have a mooch round the cafe. I generally don't go into LMU very much, I'm not due to go to anything although I do toy with the idea of putting a "fancy a shag" thread up in there from time to time. I'm just not sure I can be arsed with the interviews! redface

The Dogging forum makes me laugh. I've only been once and that was a disaster. Not found anyone to go with since cause I'm sure going dogging on my own probably wouldn't be much fun or particularly safe.
Then I poke into chat and see what ridiculous names people have thought up. I think maybe we should have a competition for the oddest chatroom name ever! :lol:
Then I generally potter on into the Scots room. :mrgreen:

log on usually early in the morning check mail browse the site dont usually go in to chat this early,
check the forum up date ads ..log off
return in the eve ditto above then go in to chats and forum update ads log off...end of
