For reasons that won't be explained here my two week holiday was cancelled after 6 days, so I sympathise and wish you better for the future.

Hell you could be in my boat.... I haven't had a holiday this year and can't book any of the 5 weeks earned at present due t work transfer and thus far I have only got New Years Eve booked off!!! hoorah!
Cheer up! You could have done something stoopid like booked yourself into the Big Brother House!! Now that would make you climb the walls with frustration,,,however then again you'd get some sleep!
Hope things are looking up for you Rocky. We need your sharp edged wit hereabouts.
By the way - what's a holiday? I think a cancelled holiday is worse than no holiday - innit!
AN UPDATE...
I think I have got rid of all the lining off my stomach, and cannot possibly be sick anymore. I am drinking gallons of water to rehydrate myself, and apart from the world biggest headache, i feel a lot better than I have. Thank you all for the kind words. Like I said i did not post for sympathy, just to say why i was lying low...
